Position Summary / 职位概况 |
| You will develop microscope automation routines as well as image analysis algorithms and use them to implement adaptive feedback control of electron and light microscopes for our customers from the industry and the academia. You will work with state-of-the-art electron and light microscopes as well as software tools like ZEISS ZEN Core, ZEISS ZEN automation, Python, ZEISS ZEN Blue, APEER (cloud-based image processing), and ZEISS OAD. You will work closely with the ZEISS Microscopy Customer Centre (ZMCC), where you will test, optimize, and fine-tune the developed solutions. Developing and delivering robust, cost-effective, and deployable custom solutions under strict timelines are an essential part of the role. You will interact with academic and industrial customers to understand their automation and image analysis challenges and work with sales and business development teams in the APAC as well as global technology development teams to support their efforts in expanding the business in custom digital solutions.

| Experience / 经验 |
| l 2-5 years of experience in designing and executing technology/engineering projects l Experience with microscope automation and/or industrial automation, robotics, virtual instrumentation l Proficient in Python programming language l Fluent in both oral and written English l Deep curiosity and willingness to dive into new subject areas l Ability to work in an independent, goal and output-oriented manner The following will be considered an advantage: l Expertise in electron microscopy l Familiarity with light and laser scanning microscopy l Familiarity with computer vision packages for Python, such as OpenCV and scikit-image l Familiarity with Machine Learning Basics (TensorFlow, Pytorch, etc.) l Familiarity with timing, triggering, and electronic control systems l Familiarity with Life science and/or materials sciences l Familiarity with QA/QC in the electronics industry Other skills /其他技能 l The vision and hands-on mindset to make your ideas come to life in ZEISS products l The ability to communicate results, challenges, and solutions successfully in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment |

l Develop and execute microscope automation and customized digital solutions projects for customers from the academia and the industry l Design Adaptive Feedback Microscopy solutions l Develop and support systems and solutions testing protocols on advanced electron and light microscopy platforms l Develop image analysis algorithms and software modules l Interact with customers and ZEISS specialists to understand customer requirements l Coordinate deployment and aftersales support at customer sites l Work with sales and business development teams in APAC as well as global technology teams to support their efforts in expanding the business for digital solutions and software l Constantly scout for the newest technical developments l Support workshops, training, and demos l Write white papers, blogs, and technical reports
