What You’ll Be Doing

• Prepare and process of monthly payrolls accurately for China Regions with our external payroll provider.
• Oversee and ensure monthly payroll activities are adhered to as per agreed calendar including day-to-day payroll deliverables, integrity of payroll data and coordination with Workday HR team.
• Provide the feedback and suggestion for internal process enhancement and employee experience improvement. Update operations procedure. Drive for the efficiency and customer experience enhancement.
• Be familiar with internal HR related policy and process. Resolve escalated and complex issues that arise on daily basis
• Collaborate to research employee issues and provide timely and accurate payroll related data requests to appropriate partners.
• Assist with compliance matters, such as timely regulatory filings related to wage laws, policies and procedures. Support internal and external payroll audit requests proactively.
• Help design and implement best-in-class controls, in collaboration with stakeholder, to ensure preemptive identification of payroll issues
• Manage all aspects of payroll reporting and accounting, including general ledger and accrued payroll and tax liabilities, and other ad hoc reports or projects as assigned.
• Other tasks as assigned by direct supervisor.

What We Are Looking For

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree. May require specific certifications.
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in China payroll, social benefits, taxation and well versed in related labor legislation
• Data sensitive and high degree of accountability
• Experience in vendor management
• Pro-active with a can-do attitude
• A team player with excellent communication skill
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team, with minimal direction
• Meticulous, well-organized and conscientious with a high level of initiatives at work
• Good command of spoken and written English and Putonghua (Chinese)
