This is a Sourcing Specialist role reporting to the SCM Manager in the Business – Motion, Motors & Generators located in Shanghai, China. As the Sourcing Specialist for Site Indirect Materials & Services, you are responsible for developing the Category Strategies and executing a pipeline of high value strategic initiatives in IM&S categories. Based on your deep expertise in the area of IM&S such as MRO, Safety Items, Consumption Materials, other production supporting materials, Integrated Facility Management Services, Utilities, Facility Services (e.g. cleaning, canteen, security, janitorial), Real Estate CAPEX projects, External Workforce, Marketing, HR Services and Professional Services, you are proactively identifying opportunities to deliver the overall Category performance and savings targets. The job role requires actively engaging and partnering with senior Business stakeholders, Operations, Finance and other business functions.

Thanks to your strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills, you ensure stakeholder alignment and support to deliver exceptional value through the implementation of Category Strategies and initiatives. You further establish effective working relationships with other ABB sites, Country business partners and sourcing responsible in other Business Areas and drive cooperation to ensure utilization of leveraging the purchasing power of ABB in country and regional level.

You have strong commitment to develop the business in the long run, in close co-operation with stakeholders and colleagues, to ensure that both the daily operative needs and long-term business needs of internal customers are met.
At the end, it is all about to identify, select, qualify and continuously develop the best indirect materials supply base to exceed the internal and external superior customer experience.

- Managing IM&S sourcing activities in the site in close cooperation with other ABB Sites and other Business Areas to achieve the set performance targets for the categories in your responsibility.
- Being accountable for the creation and application of business-aligned Category Strategies for the site and the development of an annual pipeline of strategic category initiatives.
- Understanding business priorities and challenges and ensuring successful realization of the Category Strategy by building strong partnerships across stakeholders.
- Ensuring a robust approach to supplier management, establishing value creation targets and reporting of supplier performance, developing innovation programs, managing supplier risks and conducting regular business reviews.
- Proactively driving/supporting demand management to reduce our overall external spend with third parties and create a true EBITDA impact.
- Meeting / exceeding KPIs set for IM&S overall and categories (EBITA relevant cost reductions, service speed, availability etc.). Being accountable for categories performance for: Cost - TCO based cost competitiveness and reductions, Quality - Materials and services quality, Availability - Materials and services availability, Speed of resolution and Internal customers satisfaction.
- Proactively driving/supporting sustainability and carbon footprint optimization programs to reduce our overall CO2 emissions as ABB and create not only a positive impact to our global eco-system, but as well support the perception of ABB as a sustainable company by our customers, suppliers, employees, shareholders and other stakeholders.
- Actively participating in Indirect CoPs (Community of Practices) to ensure alignment and leverage with other transactional procurement activities and other local Indirect category managers.
- Partnering with local stakeholders to define potential consumption-based saving projects that seek to utilize IM&S categories more productively and / or efficiently, leading to an overall reduction in related spend.

- University degree, with business or engineering degree preferable.
- Minimum 3 years of in-depth strategic and/or operational procurement experience or equivalent extensive experience working in the category for which the role is intended to support.
- Excellent communication and project management skills with an ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams and deliver complex strategic initiatives, in a truly global, fluid, interactive environment.
- Proven financial and business acumen and capability in negotiation, change management and stakeholder management.
- Quick problem-solving skills, being patient, stress tolerant and persistent continuous developer. Pro-active, independent and can make decisions and carry the responsibility.
- Business level fluency in English.
