As a Digital Proposal Engineer you will be the responsible for Auto OEM diverse engineering projects in Robotics and Discrete Automation Business Area in Shanghai, China. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of assigned project deliverables on time, within budget and in line with relevant quality and safety guidelines.

- Being responsible for the design and optimization of digital platform and system architecture; and formulating the solutions according to the business needs.
- Promoting digital platform and system solutions to customers.
- Being able to understand the customer needs and making the system structure diagram and solutions accordingly.
- Consulting the business needs and formulating new solutions based on the needs.
- Communicating with the system development team and ensuring that the application solutions are deployed completely and are continuously optimized.
- Estimating the project costs.
- Being responsible for the knowledge transfer between local and global digital team for the application solutions.
- Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

- A Bachelor’s degree in IT/Control or similar field.
- More than 5 years’ experience in digital application solutions, software design, architecture development or product management.
- Must possess comprehensive software knowledge in operating systems, software engineering, design pattern, data structure, database system, network security.
- Must have experience in System architecture in multiple medium and large businesses, especially in the automotive industry with complete architecture and development experience is preferred.
- Must possess strong programming skills.
- Should have hands on experience in formulating solutions, excellent communication and consulting skills, and the ability to write presentation solutions.
- Must be fluent in English, with collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
