Freescale's Radio Frequency Division (RFD) is the number one supplier of RF power transistors for cellular infrastructure, supporting all major bands and transmission standards. Our RF power transistor technology is also used in products for the broadcast, avionics and ISM markets. Freescale also provides millimeter wave ICs (MMICs) for cellular infrastructure applications. As a pioneer in RF technology, Freescale was the first to develop RF power transistors in LDMOS technology; the first to implement industry standards in air-cavity ceramic and over-molded plastic packaging for RF power devices; and the first to deliver a 2 GHz discrete RF power transistor in over-molded plastic package capable of a 200 degree Celsius junction temperature.
RFD reached and maintains our leadership position by developing extremely close and open relationships with their customers. These relationships are maintained at an engineering, procurement and senior management level. The role of a RFD customer marketer is to develop and maintain these relationships at all levels to ensure the division's financial goals are met.
The customer and product marketer will be responsible for:
- Handling all aspects of marketing for assigned accounts
- Increasing market share
- Aligning technical components and roadmap with customer
- Anticipating customer needs/filling needs
- Forecasting
- Pricing
- Working with Applications Engineer for new design wins
- Troubleshooting current designs with Applications and Product Engineers
- Working with Portfolio Managers in identifying new products for assigned accounts
- Reporting on assigned accounts to upper management
- Customer Financials
- Customer Strategy
- Customer Market Share
- Maintaining action item lists for assigned accounts and ensuring actions are being addressed in a timely manner
- Arranging customer visits - both at FSL and Customer
- Developing and maintaining relationships with all relevant parties
- Customer's key personnel and decision makers
- Freescale sales teams
- RFD's packaging, device, design, applications, product management, portfolio management, etc..
- Represent RFD at training and tradeshow events
Qualifications:
- Five year bachelor degree from an accredited university in either business or engineering. MBA preferred but not required.
- Experience working in high-technology, specifically semiconductors (RF a plus).
- Knowledge of wireless markets and products a plus. Work in cellular infrastructure and high power RF a plus.
Additionally, the successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, will be able to work and contribute in a high-technology environment and will be able to create consensus among diverse disciplines (applications engineering, design engineering, product engineering, package engineering, etc.).
Fluency in English and Mandarin required. Other languages a plus.
