Position Overview
Technical Consultant supports sales productivity and deal flow by securing the “technical close” in complex solutions. The technical consultant collaborates with sales, service, engineering, and technical support resources to ensure proposed deals include technical solutions that accurately address customer needs, and are appropriately supported by key customer technical decision-makers.
Job Responsibilities
· Works deals assigned to the sales team supported, prioritizing effort based on maximizing total impact on team productivity and profit, or as directed by the sales manager.
· Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers’ met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the company.
· Secures input from all necessary solution stakeholders within the customer company. Adapts solutions, as necessary, to ensure appropriate support.
· Coordinates closely with internal teams to align solution design with customers’ business requirements.
· Secures from customer technical staff commitments needed to ensure a deal’s “technical close.”
· Meets assigned targets for profitable sales growth
· Provides coaching and professional development to team-member sales associates in order to enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills.
· Pursues additional business development opportunities within customer firms. Collaborates with sales to ensure these opportunities are effectively covered and advanced.
· Monitors customer support for technical solutions proposed throughout the sales process, and alerts the sales and account teams to potential risks of deal closure.
· Ability to qualify, investigate and resolve customer’s inquiries or incident as required in local environment, via email or ITSM tool or phone call or on-site follow by the SLA with all APAC local market stores’ business hour for all end-to-end POS related applications. If the problem cannot be solved due to a product defect or a problem that needs further escalation, L2 escalates it to L3 with documentation and provide the workaround to the business.
Qualification
· Minimum 5 years of sales or sales engineering experience in a business-to-business, large/strategic customer segment
· Prior work experience in a Consulting/Architecture position within a software and/or services company such as Microsoft, Amazon, VMware, AliCloud desired
· Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences (including Senior Executives, IT management, technical experts).
· Capable of building and sustaining strong technical relationships as a trusted advisor.
· Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and to lead and influence virtual teams with the goal of successful implementation of customer projects
· Ability to solve customer problems through cloud technologies
· Fluent written and oral Chinese and English skills
· Technical
o Experience on Active Directory, Microsoft Intune and SCCM solution delivery
o Familiar with Azure Active Directory
o The technical aptitude and experience to learn new technologies and understand relevant cloud trend
