Internal Audit: Conducts internal audits which include financial, compliance, operational and systems audits to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls in compliance with corporate governance objectives and government-mandated requirements. Identifies and assesses organizational risks, including investigation of potential occupational fraudEstablishes audit criteria, prepares audit plans, tests internal business controls and operations, and documents results, and prepares formal written reports to communicate results and recommendations. Provides consulting to business on process, controls and operational improvements and redesign.

Reduces broad finance-related concepts, business strategies into structured projects

Leads the design/ delivery of new finance tools/ processes/ business decision and support analyses; is the key technical contributor in the finance function

Solves complex, high impact financial and business program/ project design and delivery problems

Communicates effectively across boundaries

 

Responsibilities:

• Project management is the most important aspect of this role where the person needs to work with several key contacts and external auditors to ensure the overall successful delivery of audit.
• Must be a subject matter expert of Finance processes and coach the audit team.
• Coordinate Operations Audit assignments and Prepare and review formal reports to management outlining scopes, objectives, procedures performed and recommendations, in accordance with established IA reporting guidelines.
• Proactively identify process efficiency opportunities and identify, promulgate and transmit best practices across the organization.
• Routinely inform the VP -- IA of activities and any problems noted within audit areas.
• Manage the audit fieldwork activities of the Auditors to ensure that they have clear guidance on outstanding work and are employing their time effectively.
• Continually keep up to date on current activities, accounting pronouncements and audit information significant to the profession and Agilent Group's industry. Participate in professional organizations to develop industry contacts and maintain awareness of industry issues.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required. Travel is variable both in frequency and duration, generally at 15-25%
