The BEV HV Battery System Director position is to guide and work with the engineering team from technical aspects for delivering the HV Battery System on BEV programs, ensure all HV battery system related technical issue be resolved within program boundaries;
Point Of View (POV) Owner of BEV HV Battery System, be the single technical contact for global HV Battery system, draft the HV Battery System roadmap for BEV products, etc.
 
Responsibilities:
?Be responsible for delivering HV Battery System within program boundaries;
?Be responsible for the medium-term and long-term technical planning of the battery system (cells, BMS and pack) and promote the basic competencies and the core competencies;
?Be responsible for the HV battery system platform, standardization as well as generalization and participate in the development and implementation of supplier strategy;
?Be responsible for the technical documents such as battery system requirement specifications, the relevant professional enterprise standards, DVP, DFMEA, FuSa, etc. and the framing, updating and improvement of database;
?Ensure the implementation, application and compliance of the technical documents such as battery pack and BMS development process, product standards, test standards, design guidelines, design KNOW-HOW, etc.;
?Guide the engineering team/supplier to design, simulate, validate and calibrate the HV Battery system to meet all defined targets to support vehicle targets;
?Assist BEV homologation, and ensure all HV Battery system related issues be resolved in time;
?Conduct the battery systems benchmarking, make the battery system’s assessments on other platforms or vehicles, draft regular battery competitiveness report;
?Work with cross functional team such as planning, program, vehicle architecture, platform team for proposing different battery system solutions for meeting different marketing/customer demands;
?Be responsible for improving HV Battery system quality and resolving/improving HV battery system issues;
?Work with purchasing team for HV Battery cost control;
?Support any innovation projects related to HV Battery System, such as 800V system BEV, super charging, etc.;
?Be responsible for the HV battery System internal, external and global technical communication, be responsible for the interface of the HV battery related associations;
?Following the key technology, cutting edge technology and new process of the cells and battery pack, and adjust the technical roadmap accordingly;   
?Be responsible for the analysis and review of the relevant laws and regulations, standards, etc. in the technical field and follow up the implementation;
?Support any other HV Battery technical related tasks.
 
Scopes:
?HV Battery System including: Whole battery pack, module, cell, inner electric systems, inner thermal systems, Whole BMS (Battery Management System), interfaces to other systems etc.
 
Leadership:
?Teach, coach and develop technical skills of his/her technical area
?Be flexible to support any other tasks assigned by his/her supervisor
?Engage and motivate the HV Battery System team.
