Colliers China is currently hiring an Associate Director of Research to join our established operation in Shanghai. Reporting to the Managing Director of Colliers Shanghai and the Head of China Research, this position will work closely with multiple business lines alongside with the Asia Research team to generate quality business and property related research.

This is a career opportunity for a seasoned Research professional with Research & Analysis experience in a multinational corporate environment. Colliers Asia Research has clear and ambitious targets for production of strategic, rigorous and actionable research to strengthen Collier's expertise in the commercial real estate market and to collaborate with consulting projects across the region. The Associate Director of Research will be given the platform to work closely with external clients and internal stakeholders on various market and sector focused research projects.

Primary working location is Shanghai; with travel to surrounding cities, as required

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Fulfill East China research report requirements and contribute to the regional research initiatives on a regular basis
• Regularly involve in business development activities with various business lines, including client presentations, pitches and project delivery
• Proactively participate in industry Conferences and Forums
• Manage and overlook the quality of research produced by the Team
• Support other ad hoc research related business requirements

Profile of an ideal candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree is required. A Degree in area such as Real Estate, Economics, or Business Administration is an advantage, but is not required.
• Minimum eight years of working experience in professional research, market analysis or closely related fields such as financial or business journalism
• Applicants with less experience could be considered as a Senior Manager candidate
• Highly in tune with the dynamics of property, financial, political and economic affairs
• Strong numeracy and literacy are essential to the success of this position
• Having the capacity to deliver Collier's research insights to an audience at internal and external events
• Fluency in spoken and written Mandarin and English
• A self-starter, with the ability to draw on the resources of a large regional team but to work by himself or herself when necessary
