DEL (DNA-encoded library) is a rapidly growing drug discovery platform at HitS Business Unit in WuXi AppTec. This cutting-edge multidisciplinary platform combines the latest technologies in chemistry, chemical biology, biology and informatics. We are seeking an enthusiastic chemist to help design and synthesize DELs as part of a multidiscipline team. 

Responsibilities:

? Synthesis and purification of DELs

? Application of synthetic chemistry knowledge to evaluate reagents and reactions for DEL synthesis

? Use of high-throughput chemistry tools including a Tecan liquid handler

? Analyze, interpret, and report experimental results at department meetings

? Contribute to presentations and publications

? Become a subject matter expert in the area of DEL synthesis

? Communicate scientific results with clients as needed

Qualifications:

? M.S. with 3-5 years of industry experience or Ph.D. with 1 year of academic or industry experience in organic chemistry

? Hands-on experience with multi-step organic synthetic chemistry and/or peptide chemistry

? Experience with DNA encoded libraries, combinatorial chemistry, or biomolecules is considered a plus

? Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills

? Proficient presentation, scientific/technical writing, and communication skills

? Proficient working, communicating, writing, and presenting in both English and Chinese
