Responsibilities

1 Project Management

Acting as CEO of the project to lead, drive and champion program teams; ensuring complete customer satisfaction by hitting all customer deliverable dates and products quality targets; Ensure customer requirement is clearly understood and communicated throughout the organization; As required, visit customers to improve communication and better understand customer requirements. 

2 Project coordination / Project planning / Project monitoring

Plan and follow program timing and customer APQP key dates, ensure open issues to be communicated timely and transparently within the Lear organization, make sure actions ownership defined clearly.

Act as the window contact person between the purchasing, CEC and the seat plant, ensure that these teams achieve all customer and company requirements including quality, cost, delivery, product performance and customer satisfaction.

MGR Review through all program phases to ensure measurable are met and deliverables in LPMP for traceability, including feasibility commitment, APQP plan, Design review & DFMEA, PFMEA, control plan, Plant readiness review, and MSA, etc. 

3 Project Cost controlling

PAR funding to be approved on time and Ensuring program profitability and launching new programs within defined financial target, check all possibility to improve financial performance before SOP. 

Continuous VAVE though whole program life to meet corporation target, improve financially underperforming programs by improving margins through engineering changes, LTA avoidance, re-pricing, and commercial issue closure.

4 Customer Relationship/ Escalation Management 

Improve relationships with plants and design centers to facilitate smooth industrialization phase of the project and launch to SOP.

Informing and involving the clients in situations that could endanger targets, in order to achieve the necessary clarification and decisions

6 Quotation preparation

Support new business awards through technical and functional leadership during the RFQ process.

Involvement in the preparation of quotations and procurement negotiations if necessary, together with the purchasing organizational units responsible, in agreement with the sales organizational units responsible and further internal organizational units, in order to process quotations as quickly as possible

7 Engineering Change Management

Responsibility for engineering change management, ensure all customer and internal changes in good traceability, implemented by defined timing and commercial agreement.

8 CIP

Initiating and pushing CIP processes, acting as contact within the context of engineering change management for the internal factory

9 System investment planning

Involvement in the preparation of investment plans, in order to achieve optimum capacity utilization of systems and operating equipment and optimum production conditions Planning project budgets for optimization measures following SOP.

10 Value creation

Improvement in the value of existing products, production processes and procedures, analyzing and defining cost structures and key costs, carrying out economic efficiency calculations and yield considerations for projects with regard to target specifications.

Qualification:

1. Bachelor of Science in mechanical.

2. Requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience related to automotive program management, Daimler, Great Wall or other global OEM’s experience will be preferred.

3. Be familiar with automotive industry quality and supplier validation system, such as PPAP, APQP, IATF16949.

4. Be proactive, Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

5. Fluent both written and spoken English.
