ABB Motors and Generators deliver a complete range of motors, generators and mechanical power transmission products for all industries and applications. We provide the highest quality and service to our customers all around the world, with a focus on helping to use energy more efficiently.

This is a Regional Division Marketing & Sales Manager role, reporting to the Local/Hub Business Area Manager – Motion, MOLM located in Shanghai, China.


- Being accountable for creating, planning and implementing Asia regional division and China local division marketing & sales strategies. Proactively working with global marketing and sales team, front end sales team within the region to drive sales efficiency and end to end profitability, developing the allocated regional markets by optimizing the product portfolios, managing market postioning, following up sales action plans to achieve both the key qualitative and quantitative targets in a profitable way and ensuring a high levels of customer satisfaction through sales process.
- Being responsible for establishing, planning and implementing the marketing & sales strategy for the allocated regional and china local markets in accordance with the global division marketing & sales strategy, budget and efficiency targets, defining and executing “go to market” strategies that secure LMG competitiveness.
- Establishing marketing and sales targets and ensuring their achievement through regular oversight, definition and implementation of improvement plans as needed.
- Being responsible for achieving assigned growth in orders, margin and related objectives for the entire product portfolio. Working with Front End Sales on evaluation of potential new and existing customers and their needs, leading the team in a proactive pre & post-sales approach with a focus on solutions.
- Being responsible for the portfolios and positioning management, product marketing, strategic marketing plan for domestic and allocated regional markets on overall portfolio and overseeing competitive analysis and market segment definition activities.
- Driving smooth collaboration between LSUs, FES and back end technical support and operation, organizing effective SOP to ensure high service level to customers, continuously improving customer satisfaction. Securing robust and efficient sales support and RFQ process and establishing global alignment of the region support teams.
- Identifying, monitoring and maintaining / exceeding the sales market price levels, evaluating pricing impact on the results. Ensuring achievement of sales volume and product mix targets by setting appropriate price and margin for individual sales opportunities.

- A bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical machines, electrical or Mechanics.
- Must have 5 years of managerial experiences in marketing & sales, background in sales of motors and generators is preferred.
- Strong customer focus mindset, systematic and target-oriented way of working
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to develop and manage effective working relationships at all levels in a multi-culture environment.
- Fluency in written and oral English.
- Must have good leadership and entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to spot original market/industry opportunities.
- Must have good application know-how, e.g. for Compressor, pumps and fan, crane, Marine, W&W etc.
- Must be flexible for business travel.
