Polestar is blazing a new trail, dedicating ourselves to the development and refinement of electric vehicle performance and to improve the society we live in. In this role you will support the teams and co-workers at Polestar in reaching our goals on sustainability. You will coordinate activities for supply chain sustainability within our procurement process and seek out innovative and game-changing supply chain sustainability projects, in particular relating to human-rights and traceability. All in all, you will be Polestar’s procurement sustainability expert!

You will be a part of the global procurement and Sustainability team and work together with innovative and open-minded colleagues who like you believes electrification is a part of a sustainable future for our planet.

Your main contribution

• Support the procurement team in contributing to Polestar’s vision and high ambitions on sustainability
• Coordinate procurement activities supporting Polestar’s sustainability strategy
• Seek out innovative and game-changing projects which promote human rights and traceability in supply chain
• Be Polestar’s go to-expert on human rights and supply chain traceability

What you do

• Implement sustainability activities throughout the procurement process
• Develop sustainability targets and activities in Polestar’s procurement strategy in line with Polestar’s sustainability vision and strategy
• Keep the sustainability documents relating to procurement process updated and relevant
• Support the procurement team in assessing supplier performance on sustainability
• Be a part of the supplier decision committee
• Be the prime contact person towards VCC on joint sustainability activities within procurement process
• Lead sustainability projects within procurement relating to traceability and human rights
• Manage partnerships relating to traceability and human rights in the supply chain
• Collect and follow up on sustainability KPIs connected to suppliers and procurement
• Perform internal trainings and communication activities on human rights and traceability in supply chain
• Secure that legal requirements and relevant external frameworks relating to human rights and traceability in supply chain are followed

• Direct report to Head of Procurement
• Part of the Procurement management team
• Part of the Sustainability team
• Close collaboration with relevant roles at VCC, Geely and other group affiliates

Who you are

• You have more than 5 years of experience with sustainability work in supply chain, specifically on supplier evaluation, programs and projects relating to human rights and supply chain transparency
• You have a university degree (+3 years), preferably within sustainability
• You have a proven track record in managing projects and cross-functional work groups
