Roles & Responsibilities

-You will be the Machining Engineer responsible for study and development of machining system for powertrain (engine,transmission or electrification etc.) on prismatic and round parts machining engineering
-Engineering deliverables on process, gauging and tooling(etc.) for new machining system/program (machining process engineering, tooling & gauging, safety, productivity, forward planning, etc.) thought program launch
-Identify Bill of Process compliance improvements to be implemented on legacy machining programs
-Study investment efficiency process working with Product Design, Plant and Machining Equipment Suppliers
-Process development of quality documentation(e.g. DCP (Dynamic Control Plan), PFMEA (Process Failure Mode & Effect Analysis), Process Sheets, Process Illustrations, Tool Set-up Drawings,etc.)
-Interface working with Product Design to evaluate machining feasibility, and incorporate DFM (Design for  Manufacturing) principles
-Manufacturing assessment activities with Global Manufacturing Engineering for new programs (including deviation process & issue resolution)
-Manage deviation requests and decision records for all non-compliance items linked to the Bill of Process, Manufacturing Process Specifications and Quality Health Chart requirements
-Support on development of Scope-of-Work documents for equipment bidding process
-Support plant partners on bidding Technical Evaluation and Simultaneous Engineering activities with suppliers including approval of all Target Agreements
-Support continuous improvement to evaluate and initiate bids for equipment purchase Run-off equipment at supplier and plant to show capability and robustness including safety
-Understand/support/implement Lean Manufacturing principles

Qualifications & Skills Required

-Bachelor student or above in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering or related field
-Good communication skills, optimistic and positive attitude
-Strong ability of GD&T, mechanical machining, data analysis, management and coordination skills
-Software skills, such as AutoCAD, CAPP, Virtual Simulation etc. are preferred
-Proficient oral and written English skills
