Roles & Responsibilities

-You will be the Process Engineer responsible for the study and development of  Electrification assembly systems that are aligned to standard Bill of Process strategies from the initial program vignette studies through the system inquiry and simultaneous engineering phases.
-Co-lead resolution of manufacturing concerns by interfacing with Component Product Module Teams(CPMT) to evaluate assembly feasibility and incorporate Design-for-Assembly / Design-for-Manufacturing principles.
-Lead development of assembly process strategies and solutions for all new and retool programs
-Identify Bill of Process compliance improvements to be implemented on legacy assembly lines
-Deliver Digital Pre-Assembly Assessment (DPA5) review and assess bill of process for assigned component/process in Peer Review
-Incorporate continuous improvements utilizing ME Continuous Improvement /Lessons Learned,Deviation and Decision Record Process
-Drive the Investment Efficiency Process with PD and Assembly Equipment OEMs

-Support to development and maintain process documentatio 

-Follow quality processes

-Deliver engineering documentation such as Process Illustrations, tool set up drawings etc.
-Support to develop Manufacturing Study Responses to establish Facility & Tooling and Headcount Per Unit objectives for new and retool programs
-Support Manufacturing Assessment Events for new programs (including deviation process & open issue resolution)

-Support later Virtual and Slow Builds for process feedback and lessons learne

-Assess all PD changes for feasibility trades and make sure it was tracked by proper system

Qualifications & Skills Required

-Bachelor’s degree in Automotive/Powertrain Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Design or related field

- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

-Proactive team player, excellent communication skills, can-do attitude.

-Excellent Office software like Excel and PowerPoint skills.

-Solid understanding of GD&T, Blueprint reading, Tolerance stack up

-Knowledge of Auto CAD, CATIA, etc. systems & CAPP (CAE/Simulation) digital tools, would be a significant advantage.

-Proficient oral and written English skills.
