Position Summary:
This position is responsible for developing the complex master production schedule and the detailed scheduling of all manufacturing and internal routing operations to support the master schedule. In addition to ensuring the production schedule is being met, the scheduler is responsible for maximizing operational efficiency and on-time parts delivery to the assembly group while minimizing inventory. The Production Scheduler will also manage scheduling changes and updates to the production schedule as required (due to material availability, equipment problems, changes in customer orders, etc.). The Production Scheduler is also responsible for monitoring the production schedule and coordinating and communicating any issues or changes to the appropriate people.

Responsibilities:
? Develop Master Production Schedule and detailed part manufacturing schedule based on master level requirements, bills of material, lead-times, and routings to meet demand requirements. Ensure Oceanview’s sales orders and shipping information match Tulsa’s purchase orders and that all master level requirements are accurate and up to date with all forecast and order changes.
? Ensure all parts requiring in-house operations and outside processing are available to meet the upper level and assembly production schedule.
? Monitor on-hand inventory levels balancing production capacity and constraints, part availability, and inventory targets.
? Utilize ERP system to drive MRP requirements and the detailed production scheduling.
? Perform “rough cut” capacity analysis for internal manufacturing and adjust schedules to balance production as needed.
? Define the “correct” lot sizes based upon demand, capacity, and determine if there are opportunities to reduce set-up costs by combine multiple orders into efficient run quantities while balancing production efficiency with demand requirements.
? Issue and manage production orders and requirements to shop floor, assembly, and purchasing (for outside processing).
? Enter and manage machine shop orders with a complex shop floor control system (JobBoss).
? Track and report all part availability and production compliance to ensure all orders are produced on time.
? Manage the maintenance and entry of Bills of Materials and Routings in the ERP system.
? Manage and maintain all machine centers, processes and material settings in JobBoss
? Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and sourcing in the development of new products to ensure that all manufacturing information is correct and up to date.
? Develop and maintain reports to communicate schedule compliance, parts shortages, efficiency, etc.
? Manage “phase in” and “phase out” of inventory due to engineering changes or new product development
? Be required to communicate in English and have a working knowledge of English via reading and writing.



Requirements:
? Must demonstrate excellent knowledge and understand of:
o Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software
o Bills of Materials Structure and Process Routing
o Engineering Change Notice Process
o Process Engineering Change Notice Process
? Must have working knowledge of:
o Production processes
o Machining process flow
o Inventory Control
? Must be willing to be flexible with respect to work hours required to meet production requirements.
? Proactively works with entire Oceanview team to improve operational efficiencies and reduce costs.
Background and Experience:

? College Degree with emphasis in factory management, production scheduling, or similar field plus 3 years of actual experience. 7+ years in a similar position of Production Scheduler may be substituted for college degree.
? Excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively read and write in English. Fluent verbal communication in English is a strong plus.
? Strong computer literacy including the use of an ERP/MRP system, Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.
? Able to work independently, self-motivated, results oriented team player.
? Good analysis skills with a strong attention to detail.
