The Regional Marketing Program Manager, China is a member of the Customer Experience team and works closely with the Global Director Customer Experience to define the marketing communications strategies and plans for the assigned region of China, including the measurement of their impact. The Regional Marketing Program Manager works in partnership with the local commercial leader(s) as well as product and head office promotional marketing leaders to ensure effective company-wide implementation of strategic imperatives in the assigned region of China. The role includes responsibility for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of brand and marcom processes, programs, and infrastructure. This position collaborates with the corporate central Customer Experience team or with local regional team members and vendors as required in the execution of all the critical promotional marketing activities required to achieve the company’s profitability and market awareness and perception goals in the assigned region of China.

Key Results Areas:

As a member of the Customer Experience team:

  • Acts as the corporate Brand champion and advocate, both internally and in the marketplace
  • Scans the environment for high-impact, high-leverage awareness improvement and cross-functional collaboration opportunities.
  • Benchmarks the organization’s current marketing activities, performance and investment against industry best practices, and through gap analysis, develops a roadmap for improvements and business case for undertaking necessary changes.
  • As appropriate and with the support of the Customer Experience leadership team, identifies, recommends and leads the implementation of these opportunities, including directing cross-functional implementation teams, to increase overall effectiveness of the marketing organization.
  • Directs territory-wide efforts to effectively source, allocate and manage necessary resources.

    

The specific operational responsibilities are outlined below:

Brand Management
Ensures the consistent and appropriate application of the Armstrong Brand Guidelines across all aspects of internal Armstrong communications and customer and market-facing communications. This includes the marketing governance process that will ensure consistent messaging and adherence to brand standards across our products, our promotions and our communications.

Internal Communications
Works with all areas of the business to define and execute a local internal communication program that addresses the values and activities that will define our success in the marketplace while ensuring that Armstrong is considered as a world class employer.

External Communications
Working with all aspects of the business, defines and executes a comprehensive local public relations strategy that creates awareness in the assigned region(s) around Armstrong’s capabilities and key initiatives. 

Program Management
Working with regional leadership, Product Marketing and other Customer Experience leadership, defines, delivers and manages complete promotional programs including the multi-media elements required to deliver our message and capabilities to all the assigned markets and targeted persona.

Digital Presence
Oversees the local execution of our core digital presence, encompassing our digital marketing, website, and social media channels and content.   

Creative Design
Responsible for localization of promotional design in support of the global Armstrong brand in the marketplace.

Events
Defines and manages a key event strategy (virtual and physical) in support of our customer experience goals as well as promotional and lead generation targets in the assigned region(s).

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Arts or higher. MBA preferred.

  • Minimum of 6 years brand and marketing communication experience, including development and execution of integrated multi-discipline marketing communications programs.

  • Digital Marketing knowledge and executional capability including SEO, SMM, SEM

  • Ability to develop creative campaign brief.

  • Strong analytical skills and experience with reporting and data analysis.

  • Proficiency in marketing automation systems and lead capture data management & nurture

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment.

  • Technically capable, excellent communicator, and a desire to improve processes.

  • Fluent in Regional language and English language, both spoken and written.

  • Ability to adapt (vs straight translation) English language communications into regional language.
