BASIC FUNCTION

Research, identify, evaluate potential source of supply in China/Global; make category strategy on global basis, formulate supply chain strategy, develop cost models for part family.

            

      

1. Perform negotiations and determines most competitive solutions. Using wide degree of creativity and latitude.
2. Familiar with the category manufacturing process, cost driver and build category cost model.
3. Lead projects of complicated nature or smaller multi-location projects and supplier performance management.
4. Oversee sourcing process to ensure implementation of sourcing projects and plans.
5. Be responsible for vendor selection, vendor performance review.
6. Be responsible for process adherence and delivery on time.
7. Assist in reviewing project proposals with management to estimates cost, schedule, and activity requirements.
8. Understand established performance measurement against goals and objectives.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITY

    

      

Supervisory Relationships:

Reports to Manager- Purchasing, Finished Goods/ Plated Plastics & Shower Fittings

Organization Relationships:

· Frequent contact with Supply Chain, Engineering and QA/SQE.

· Frequent contact with Marketing and ID function.

· Frequent contact with Purchasing people worldwide.

External Business Relationships:

· Frequent contact with Global K&B suppliers.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Engineering degree preferred, ability to interact with engineering is a must.

6+ years related working experience.

Understanding of contract law preferred.

Excellent understanding of commodity product technology.

Strong purchasing skills and project management with organizational skills.

Excellent English is a must; Good communication/coordination skill.

Good computer skill and data analysis capability is preferred.
