*Perform legal service on demand for QBPC operation-related matters, including drafting and reviewing contracts, advising on legal, regulatory & compliance issues.

*Manage and handle inquiries from QBPC members on IPR-related legal issues; provide legal advice with the support from relevant QBPC chairs.

*Under the guidance of QBPC Service Team, lead legal research, seminar or enforcement projects, including project planning, execution, event organization and follow up.

*Coordinate QBPC activities in legislation, such as collecting and consolidating comments from members on draft laws, law amendment, judicial interpretation or department rules.

*Draft/Update QBPC bylaws or guidelines and keep files.

*Keep abreast of regulatory, legal and policy developments and industry initiatives related to IPR protection and edit IP E-newsletter.

*Conduct legal research, draft position paper and do other paper work on legal issues under the guidance and supervision of chairs/committee chairs.

*Assist QBPC Service Team in performance of other daily work, including liaising and cooperating with enforcement agencies, judicial organs and other stakeholders

About QBPC
The Quality Brands Protection Committee (QBPC) is a Beijing-based trade association representing the interests of more than 200 multinational companies with intellectual property interests in China. It was formed in March, 2000 and registered under the China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment (CAEFI). QBPC’s membership consists largely of subsidiaries of companies headquartered in North America, Europe, Asia and Oceania. QBPC’s Mission Statement is: To work cooperatively with the Chinese central and local governments, local industry, and organizations to make positive contributions to intellectual property protection in the People’s Republic of China. QBPC has grown as a member-led organization with dedicated and professional office servicing its needs. QBPC’s governing body is the “Steering Council” which consists of the voting members of the organization together with those representatives of member companies elected to various leadership positions. As currently structured, QBPC has a Chairman, 6 Vice Chairman and 6 Committees, each with a Committee Chairman and 4 Vice Chairman (the “Executive Team”). In addition, there are 18 Industry Working Groups which act as a forum for members with similar commercial interests to work together on common projects.
