ABB's Robotics and Discrete Automation business is writing the future of flexible factory and smart machines by providing value-added solutions in robotics, machine and factory automation. This is a Designer role, reporting to the Engineering Manager I in Business Area – Robotics and Discrete Automation located in Shanghai, China.

- Developing new robotic solution for assembly and testing application together with a team of engineers.
- Collecting and analyzing customer requirement and providing technical and experienced engineering solution.
- Initiatively developing and maintaining the customer relationship from technical side.
- Ensuring that design and engineering is in accordance with applicable codes, standards, practices and contractual requirements.
- Preparing the technical presentations and presenting to the customers and the team.
- Preparing all documents for production and delivery related to the project.
- Supervising supplier for mechanical components manufacturing, assembly and testing.

- A bachelor’s degree in industrial automation/mechanical engineering.
- Must have minimum of 3 years of working experience in industrial automation robot related field.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks.
- Must possess good communication skills, must be a team player, proactive, and self-motivated who is flexible, hard-working and can work under pressure.
- Must be capable of reading and expressing technical solutions in English.
- Must be Customer orientated and independent contributor.
