Los Angeles-based AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), a non-profit, is a global organization providing cutting-edge medicine and advocacy to more than 1 million patients in 45 countries. We are the largest provider of HIV/AIDS medical care in the U.S.
AHF Asia Bureau which is based in Cambodia is implementing its projects in Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, and Laos. We are now looking for a competent candidate to fulfill a position of Advocacy and Marketing Manager. This position can be based in Cambodia, Thailand, Nepal and China, the exact location will be identified based on the candidate’s qualification.
Advocacy and Marketing Manager will be responsible for the timely and structured management of region-wide policy change with focus on increasing the access to treatment, rapid testing, condoms and AHF Branding, through advocacy and marketing approaches. The position holder is also responsible for coordinating and managing the development and implementation of overall communication PR/media relations and marketing strategies. Adapting existing, developing, establishing and maintaining new marketing campaigns and strategies to improve access to HIV prevention, treatment and care in AHF Asia bureau. The key role will be to effectively manage promotional and marketing activities. The position holder will evaluate market conditions, identify key HIV/AIDS audiences, and conduct patient research and implement changes in the Marketing Plans as required. The position holder also leads, directs, manages and evaluates all advocacy and marketing plans, including the budget, as presented by country program managers of each country in Asia Bureau.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Advocacy
1. Lead the Asia Bureau in the development, implementation and evaluation of advocacy and policy
change agenda and to promote the work of AHF at the national and regional levels.
2. Review and comments all advocacy plans developed by AHF Asian country teams.
3. The Advocacy and Marketing Manager will lead our high level policy and advocacy activities on the
provisions of HIV prevention, testing, OI/ART and in-country policy-changes
4. Identify and lead research into relevant development and HIV policy , write policy reports and briefings as
strategic direction.
5. Plan, develop and monitor implementation of advocacy strategy according to AHF mission and core values;
6. Conduct advocacy and marketing trips to all AHF Asia Bureau countries, provide training to the country teams
and their partners, field visits, identify advocacy priorities and assist in the action plan development.
7. Facilitate the country teams in the development of their advocacy plans and the related budget.
8. Coordinate and communicate AHF advocacy and policy change programs with other regional and national
development networks, with key decision and policy makers, and liaison with national and regional media;
9. Build appropriate partnerships with other organizations to develop policies in relation to AHF advocacy
genda;
10. Promote the work of AHF at the national and regional levels;
11. Maintain good working relationships with AHF partners and external agencies;
12. Provide information on funding opportunities to support advocacy and partnership work in the region
Marketing
1. In coordination with the Director of Global Advertising and Media, the position holder leads the
development and Roll Out all AHF Asia Bureau Country Marketing Strategies and Monitor its
implementation in line with the organization's strategy priorities.
2. Coordinate with Medical, Prevention and Advocacy Coordinators and Country Program Managers,
to develop, roll out and monitor marketing plans, documentation, brand profiling to increase public
awareness and influence attitudes and behaviors.
3. Public Relation (PR): oversee AHF press conferences and media events; manage AHF's PR firms in Asia
4. Maintain and uphold AHF standard of documentation, branding and profiling in line with global priorities to
deepen our position as a 'challenger brand' in fighting AIDS.
5. Contribute to strategic decision through Marketing Meetings(MMs) and Bureau meetings.
6. Initiate and sustain strategic linkages with potential service providers to ensure obtaining of cost effective
products with compromising standards.
7. Coordinate, supervise and evaluate the services provided by PR/marketing agency
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or higher, preferably in social work, public policy, health policy, public health, Marketing or Business related field from an accredited University
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in HIV programmes, Health Policy, Human Rights, sexuality & diversity, Health & HIV marketing
- Proven experience in community mobilization and building stakeholder relationship at national and regional level.
- Familiarity with relevant countries’ HIV policies

? Excellent communication skills with all walks of life and Public Relations skills
? Proven ability to create, develop, manage and implement advocacy strategy and activities.

自2006年以来,AHF中国项目一直致力于与***和地方抗病毒治疗门诊合作,共同在中国提高抗病毒治疗服务的可及性,具体活动包括:给医生和护士提供抗病毒治疗服务培训,给贫困患者提供免费药物用以治疗和控制机会性感染,以及建立社区合作伙伴关系以便改善感染者的生活质量。此外,AHF中国项目还通过开展试点项目更好地确定HIV诊断与早期抗病毒治疗服务之间的联系。AHF希望试点项目会给未来的政策决策提供参考依据。
此外,AHF中国项目还与相关机构合作,例如卫生部、中国疾病预防控制中心性病艾滋病预防控制中心、地方抗病毒治疗门诊和疾控中心,为感染者开展倡导活动。在每年的世界艾滋病日和国际安全套日,AHF中国项目都与***和地方合作伙伴共同举办艾滋病防治宣传活动。卫生部、中国疾病预防控制中心和联合国艾滋病规划署等组织机构的主要领导出席了这些宣传活动。
