Position: Product Strategy Platforms and Powertrains
Information about the Position
At Volkswagen Group China, the Product Management department is responsible for accompanying vehicle emerging process and thus directly influencing the future shape of products and the company. The region China is currently the most significant market of the Volkswagen group. For the cross-functional and inter-divisional tasks at Product Management, such as planning of the product portfolio or product control, we are currently searching for a product manager with profound knowledge and interest in automotive industry, market trend and government policies, especially the powertrain technology, including hybridization and NEVs, as well as strong analytical and strategic skills.
Your Tasks:
Overarching powertrain strategy, incl. ICE, Hybridization and NEVs and powertrain portfolio management
Strategic analysis based on government incentives and market forecast
Planning future powertrain portfolio for Region China
Harmonization of powertrain roadmap with platform and vehicle projects
Steering of product team, coordination of different BUs (e.g. Sales marketing, Finance, Purchasing, R&D, Logistic) to analyze the impact for the powertrain strategy
Presentation in VW committee for strategic decision of powertrain strategy
Your Profile:
Engineering and/or Business Management background with proven track record of leading international and interdisciplinary teams successfully
Minimum of 6 years work experience in automotive industry, thereof 3 years in Technical Project Management
Profound knowledge in powertrain technology
Project leading experience & confidence in dealing with interfaces
Excellent cooperation/communication/presentation skills, team player
Strategic mindset, quick thinking and handling, proactive & responsible
Fluent in spoken and written business English and Chinese (German is a plus)
