We are seeking a talented, motivated and experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to join our Electrical Engineering Department in creating world class electrical designs for consumer robotic systems. The candidate must have extensive knowledge and experience in microcontroller, coding, debug. The successful candidate will lead or enjoy working within a multidisciplinary team of some of the best and brightest engineers, engaging in the analysis, design, documentation, testing and manufacturing of complex robotic systems. The candidate will also suggest and work on improvements and enhancements for existing designs, participating in troubleshooting and field failure analysis. This position requires excellent technical capabilities and communication skills.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Strong knowledge and deep understanding of electrical engineering principles in both analog and digital domains as they apply to high-volume consumer electronic devices, with the ability to leverage this understanding to quickly isolate circuit faults.
• Demonstrable ability to analyze the discrete component analog circuit, constructed by diode, transistor, OPAMP, etc.
• Professional experience with embedded system/microcontroller concepts, including the following: GPIOs, PWM, ADCs, DACs, and serial data interfaces (I2C, UART, SPI)
• Circuit design and analysis experience with infrared emitter and detectors, DCDC power conversion circuits (1 to 30W), power switching semiconductors and brushed motor drivers.
• Extensive experience with different sensors, such as infrared sensor, pressure sensor, hall sensor, gyro etc.
• Good understanding of control theory and practical experience especially in circuitry stability analysis
• Demonstrable knowledge of design for EMI, EMC, ESD and safety regulation
• Understanding of PCB/PCBA manufacturing process and strong experience in layout design for PCBs
• Demonstrable ability to create detailed hardware and functional specifications
• Hands-on know-how with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multi-meters, soldering irons, and other common electrical engineering tools used during PCBA testing and measurement
• Experience with circuit simulation tools (PSPICE, LTSPICE, etc.).
• High speed I/O and transmission line design theory will be strongly preferable
• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, MSEE preferred
• 7-10 years of relevant experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven ability to work on multiple, concurrent projects
• Driven, passionate developer who can work independently in a team environment and enjoys the challenges of delivering solutions.
• Ability to travel to US headquarters 2-3 times a year (After pandemic period)
• Ability to travel through South China within 2 -3 hrs driving distance from Guangzhou roughly once a week
