- Involving in new supplier selection, being responsible for SQP, performing SQQ, sustainability audits and following up with corrective actions of SQQ from all new potential suppliers and being responsible for all new design, localization, transferring parts supplier APQP processes.
- Performing annual audit to key suppliers, following up corrective actions and liaising with R&D engineering functions for resolution and escalation of technical issues.
- Leading APQP (Advanced Product Quality Procedure) at supplier side to implement preventative quality assurance method, performing process audit, following up with corrective actions and leading quality issues resolution during developing, maintaining and updating open issue list.
- Leading sample approval activities, ensuring effective communication of technical issues to suppliers and internal customers, developing and implementing of new regional supply chains identified by commodity strategies and new product development / provision.
- Doing APQP sample status report, maintaining data in system, providing quality training to suppliers and sample approval handover/Handover Package.
- Supporting globally and co-operating for new programs and migration projects, supporting SCM saving projects, like localization, being the owner of “First Delivery Qualification” process.
- Supporting SQE to analyze and solve critical supplier quality issues happened during mass production, doing monthly report, maintaining data in system and performing other jobs assigned.
- Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

- A bachelor’s degree or above in mechanical engineering.
- Must have 8+ years working experience and abundant knowledge in gearbox, gearwheel mechanical manufacturing or development and familiarity with mechanical process.
- Must be very good in program management skills and must have successful project experience in supplier quality development during new projects and quality system management, like ISO 9001, ISO 14001, knowledge of TS16949.
- Sound knowledge and experience in QC tools, like PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC, FMEA and Lean manufacture, 6 Sigma.
- Solid Supplier audit knowledge and relevant experience.
- Proficient oral & written English skills.
- Must be a problem solver, proactive, self-disciplined, self-motivated with a “Can do” attitude, result orientated with strong communication skills and teamwork attitude.
- Must be willing to travel frequently.

This is an Advanced Supplier Quality Engineer role, reporting to the Global RA Supply Quality Manager in Business Area – Robotics and Discrete Automation located in Shanghai, China.
