DuPont Photovoltaics and Fluoro Materials (PVFM) business is looking for an experienced and motivated sales specialist to grow the Tedlar Advanced Materials business in the Building & Construction segments in China by identifying and developing new business opportunities and partnerships. The candidate should have an energetic, enthusiastic outlook, and enjoy learning and problem solving as part of a growing key DuPont business.
Responsibilities
- The primary responsibility of the Sales Specialist is to identify and grow new business opportunities and partnerships in the target segments to achieve sales, profit and growth objectives
- Understand market trends, competition, customer needs to develop industry insights and deliver value proposition for customers, influencers, decision makers in target market segments, with focus on industrial and commercial roofing, building exterior and interior
- Grow and enhance Tedlar market position in Building and Construction verticals by developing key partnerships along the value chain
- Work in collaboration with Marketing, Applications Development, R&D, Technical Service, Operations and other functions to deliver business objectives
- Effectively manage the opportunity pipeline and forecasts to sustainably grow the business over the mid and long term
- The successful candidate should have knowledge and experience in the following areas in the Industrial and Commercial Building and Construction Markets (specifically exterior/interior surfaces, coil coatings, metal lamination and protective layers):
- Customer needs and technical requirements
- Network experience and understanding of influence, decision making and specifying through the value chain
- Navigation of Codes, Standards and regulations impacting specification and qualification of new materials
- Travel within China at least 50% of the time
Job Qualifications
· Minimum 5 years sales or business development experience in building and construction or an adjacent industry in China
· Strong industry knowledge, network and familiar with the requirements of specifying materials in building and construction industry
· Demonstrated strategic sales performance, building customer relationships, key account management and business development experience are essential
· Team player with strong interpersonal and technical selling skills are required
· Good negotiation skills, ability to work effectively in matrix organizations, internally and externally
· Strong growth mindset, creative thinking, self-motivated and result driven
· Bachelor’s degree with material science, engineering background preferred
· Fluent in English and Mandarin; proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
