Main Tasks

Design and test

-     Cooperate with the project team members as lead engineer to program, design and test products plus accessories in good quality with reasonable cost and time by following Dr？ger development process

-     Design and test firmware (software)

-     Design and test analog and digital embedded circuit/ schematic

-     Design Printed Circuit Board (PCB)s and layouts for medium volume manufacture

-     Design to meet local market standards for intrinsic safety, Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)/ Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI) etc.

-     Design robust products by following new development process

-     Perform feasibility studies and concept investigations for related technology

-     Creation and maintain necessary design tools and test tools

-     Ensure quality of design output (especially regarding applicable internal and external standards) as well as quality and reliability of designed products

-     Creation of test specifications and test reports

-     Execution of system verification: Verify that the product fulfils all technical system requirements, external standards and safety requirements

-     Creation of associated verification documents acc. to internal and external requirements

 

External collaboration

-     Monitor & analysis related patents of Draeger and competitors by working with IP team.

-     Analysis market/customer needs and technology trends, and integrate to Draeger’s concepts and products by working with marketing team;

-     Track related domestic/international standards and regulations, and integrate to Draeger’s concepts and product by working with approval team.

 

Technical support

-     Support manufacture by providing comments from technical side to Operations/ Quality to ensure good technical decisions

-     Cooperate with local and global Product Managers to develop product/ project/ manufacture/ process concepts based upon received market information

-     Assist Global Purchasing department to identify suppliers and key partners in China

-     Support approval/ test based on electronic technology, and design test bench for new products

 

Others

-     Cooperate and discuss with other designers (local and global) for technical issues and new ideas.

-     Submission and documentation of new ideas, concepts, inventions, etc. And establish local knowledge management.

-     Share experience and provide technical training and support to other electronic engineers.

-     Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations

-     Other duties as assigned by supervisor / manager

 

Position Requirements

Education & Experience

-     Bachelor’s degree or above in Electronics Engineering or equivalent, or a comparable combination of education and experience.

-     5-10 years of experience as Electronics Engineer in international environment.

 

Require Skills

-     Knowledge of China Safety product related standards

-     Knowledge of design for gas detector, portable device and related Safety products

-     Knowledge of DFT, DFM and C embedded language programming

-     Knowledge of MCU, ARM microprocessor application and design of analog, digital and sensor measurement circuit, power management

-     Knowledge of using EDA design tools like Altium Designer and electronic test instruments

-     Knowledge of MS Office.

As early as in the 1950s Draeger Company was already actively engaged in various fields of medical equipment and industrial safety products in China. Always adhering to the principle of "brave innovation and being quality-centered", the explorers of Draeger have won certain market share in China. In order to make sure that Draeger products accord with the Chinese market and to ensure the qualify of after-sales service by Draeger that is recognized world wide, Draeger Medical invested to establish Shanghai Draeger Medical Instrument Company Limited (SDMI) in 1994 and Draeger Medical Equipment (Shanghai) Company Limited (DME) in 2000, respectively, in Shanghai to be responsible for all businesses of Draeger (Germany) Company and Draeger (North America) Company in China, and nearly 500 persons were employed.

Draeger Medical Equipment (Shanghai) Company Limited (DME) is an enterprise solely invested by Draeger Medical Joint Stock Company Limited. At present, four branches have been established in Beijing, Guangzhou, Chengdu and Xian, and two independent incorporated companies, Draeger Medical Equipment (Hong Kong) Company Limited and Draeger Medical Equipment (Taiwan) Company Limited, have been set up in Taiwan and Hong Kong, respectively. The company sells products and provides services that cover various fields such as anesthesia, breathing, emergency care, newborn infants, medical gas supply systems, arm-suspension equipment, bedside equipment, operating tables, operating lamps and decontamination chambers etc.
