Scope, objective and relevance of position:

• Assure and implement Product Technic quality activities for process and product Qualification/Release and problem-solving (FAP) for the at Group R&D China locally developed know how protected parts.

• QPNi/TAD/TRL/Parts Sampling/Supplier Escalation L2

• Quality evaluation and qualification of suppliers according to agreements with production locations in China

• Steering and monitoring of relevant activities and processes within QA Purchasing in China.

• Assignment in plants and at suppliers/sub—suppliers for production ramp-up-/series support.

• Internal and external coordination regarding manufacturing processes and methods with consideration of due dates, number of parts for planning and manufacturing qualities.

• Accompanying and steering of tool production on site at suppliers, tool makers and machine manufacturers.

• Development, proposal, alignment and representation of concepts and/or plans for quality assuring solving of problems and/or general issues.

Key Tasks:

• Conduction of quality evaluation and qualification of suppliers for production of vehicle parts in the Chinese market under consideration of effective quality regulations within Volkswagen Group.

• Steering and ensuring of defined tasks and measures for qualification of respective suppliers/sub-suppliers in alignment with the Group QA divisions.

• For IVB Parts Product Technic function must be installed conducting all QA activities defined in the PEP handbook including the conduct of the Sampling Release Process in Respect with IVB RASI with JV.

• Proposal, alignment and representation of feasibility statements for produce ability and recommendation for Technical feasibility.

• Proposal/arrangement and tracking of measures for preventing or eliminating of customer claims and market affecting failures of purchased parts in alignment with the Chinese production plants and other divisions of VW AG.

• Self-dependent monitoring of timely finalization of tools and equipment for new part production.

• Self-dependent monitoring and bring forward of sampling activities for critical parts related to due date requirements for PVS, 0S and SOP.

• Alignment of required part corrections during PVS, 0S and SOP.

• Implementation of change measures of component parts and tools under consideration of quality, due date and costs.

• Technical consulting on expert level of Purchasing, Logistics and Production divisions for time critical parts, if necessary preparation and proposal of special measures.

• Representation of decisions at suppliers regarding priorities, due dates and manufacturing levels in alignment with all related divisions.

• Development and representation on expert level of plans for tool optimization at suppliers for sustainable quality improvement and cost reduction.

· Steering, conduction and monitoring of special measures (tool relocation, scrap activities etc.)

• Piloting / guiding of sampling activities (Bemusterung) and support for 2 day productions (2TP) on expert level – For China local developed IVB Parts conduct the initial sampling release.

• Mediation with arguments on expert level in case of differences between supplier and VW division.

• Permanent monitoring and reporting to divisions QA and Purchasing regarding conducted activities and measures under the aspect of effectiveness.

• Conduction of QPN Integral and QTR on expert level for decisions on required corrective actions regarding deviations and on quality rating.

• Piloting alignment with project partners and coordination of projects.

• Conduction of special measures for which the position holder is particularly suitable due to his qualification.

• For Trouble Shooting, conduction of TAD activities at Suppliers (TAD Handbuch), TRL, Supplier Escalation and representation in decision-making Level 2 Meetings.

Qualification and skills:

Necessary education:

• University Graduate Degree in Engineering – Electronics

Personal skills:

• Analytical, team-work minded, coordinative, willing to communicate, persuasiveness, high willingness to perform, willingness to frequent travel

Working experience (in years):

• At least 2 years’ working experience in a multinational enterprise

Knowledge and Skills:

• Min. 5 years professional experience in the fields of Quality Management, purchased-part-management, process management and project management

• Expert level for VW processes (PEP, CSC, Formel Q) and Quality Methods (VDA)

• Expert knowledge and process know-how according to area of expertise (Powertrain, Electrics, NEV vehicles) for covering the entire spectrum of component parts within the “Fachgruppen”

Remarks:

• Fluent in English/German

• VWAG IT systems for parts specification, Technical drawings, analysis, product change management, parts release and supplier assessment
