The Asian Banker, headquartered in Singapore, with offices in Kuala Lumpur and Beijing, and a representative in Dubai, is the foremost provider of integrated business intelligence to the financial services industry in the Asia-Pacific region.

The Asian Banker covers the "business of banking" in the region. Our core products include research services, consulting, publications as well as high quality forums that cover all countries from Japan to Australia. We are also pushing our coverage westward into Central Asia and the Middle East.

The Company has been present in China since 2001, and has a strong working relationship with all the major financial institutions as well as the regulators in the country.

We are in the process of growing on-the-ground capabilities in our small Beijing office and have immediate openings for the following positions based in Beijing:

Sales & Financial Consulting

(Beijing based)

This job entails meeting with clients in China, including Hong Kong and Taiwan, closing sales for research, publications and conference products. Clients include banks as well as technology companies that sell to banks.

· University graduate with experience in selling knowledge-based products and finance major preferred.

· Strong sales, customer management and presentation skills required

· Ability to interact with clients at Senior Management level

· Ability to design creative solutions around research and event type products

· Preferably someone with proven consulting, publishing or services industry sales experience

· Good English and Chinese language is essential

· At least 1-2 year work experience for executive position

· Works with limited guidance on deals/opportunities/projects within defined criteria.

· Strong execution skills, not just in meeting bottomlines but in ensuring that deliverables are met

· Native Beijing-based Chinese nationals who communicate and read well in Chinese are welcome to apply.
