The Global Product Manager is responsible to define the new product & solution specification according to the market requirement, track the product development schedule, targeted cost structure, product & marketing tools delivery etc. to match customers’ requirement. The Global Product Manager also manages the existing product lifecycle, provides market promotion materials, etc. finally ensures that the product roadmap follows the global division strategy and business plan.

This is a Global Product Specialist role reporting to Company Manager/JV Manager in Business Area – Electrification, Smart Buildings located in Beijing, China which provides defined services to the internal customers with best quality in the most efficient way.

- Understanding British Standard and China wiring accessories market requirements and leading the market analysis, analyzing market trends, market situation, competitors, standard/certificate requirements, government policy, value chain, new technology/functions, product gaps, market price and cost analysis, etc.
- Leading new product development projects and manage roadmap to have competitive portfolios for BS market, defining new project scope, collecting market/product requirement and translating into MRS, creating business plan and conducting finance analysis for new project, collaborating with different departments to drive the execution of project, making sure project schedule and finance target achievement.
- Supporting global wiring accessories extension strategy from product perspective, working together with global teams to collect customer’s requirements from different countries, collaborating with different global teams including GPG (global product group), LSU (local sales team) and GMS (global marketing and sales) teams to drive wiring accessories business.
- Taking lead of product life cycle management, analyzing current product/solution/service, defines and tracking performance metrics, planning appropriate measures (e.g. enhancements, cost reductions, phase-outs) and making decisions on product/solution/service obsolescence and end-of life to ensure current and future market requirements are met and maximize profitability.
- Initiating and drive product market communication strategy and supporting marketing & sales team to promote and achieve business target.
- Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

- Must have a bachelor’s degree or above, engineering background is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of business experience, e.g. marketing, product management or sales support role in MNC.
- Familiar with CWA industry or industry consumer industry. Background from Schneider, Legrand, SIMON, Siemens retail department are preferred.
- Good reading, writing and verbal communication skills in English required.
- Must have proven ability to influence internal and external customers & cross-functional teams without formal authority.
- Should have excellent communication skills, accurate, and be well organized.
