ABB's Robotics and Discrete Automation business is writing the future of flexible factory and smart machines by providing value-added solutions in robotics, machine and factory automation. This is a Software Engineer role, reporting to the Engineering Manager in Business Area – Robotics and Discrete Automation located in Shanghai, China.

- Developing specified application program according to project requirements.
- Developing robotics vision application.
- Supporting electric & robot programing and testing.
- Willing to travel and doing test on site according to project schedule.
- Preparing technical documentation.
- Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

- A bachelor’s or master’s in science degree in electric, automation, software, computer or related major.
- Must have minimum of 3 years of experience of software development and have experience in MES or Database application development.
- Must be proficient in C# and WinForms development.
- Sound knowledge of robot kinematics, path planning, PLC or robot program is preferred.
- Must be good skills such as Halcon / PCL or OpenCV.
- Fluency in English communication.
- Must have strong willingness to research and study, be highly responsible, self-motivated and autonomous at work, have good teamwork spirit and can work under pressure.
