Key responsibilities
Unit HSE Management
v To run unit within Operating Envelop (OE)
v To investigate any excursion case from OE and take the learning
v To perform as backup AA for one unit to issue PTW
v To develop ICC to ensure the work on site conducted safely
v To lead the risk assessment for operation activities on site
v To report and manage unsafe conditions and defective equipment
v To promote safety culture and stop any unsafe work
v To participate the HAZOP and HAZOP revalidation as operation representative
v To contribute the improvement of the safety management system by attending internal audit and report any unsafe conditions
v Responsible for right technical competence of team members
People Management
v Provide input to development of annual training schedule, training package and assessment timetable for the shift staff
v To drive technical competence improvement of shift staff, like to organize technical workshop within the shift and deliver technical training to the team
v To be responsible for team staff management from objective setting, on-going coaching and performance appraisal to achieve required team performance.
v To help team staff development through PDP/PLP conversation and follow up action plan
Plant Operation Management
v To monitor/control the unit operation and give guidance to shift staff to run unit safely, reliably, stably and efficiently
v To develop, review and update SOPs to reflect any process changes and ensure operators follow them
v To lead process trouble shooting and process upset handling
v To participate RCFA of process excursion, quality excursion, production and VC loss
v To drive operating optimization to run unit at optimum conditions
v To take lead to seek opportunity of improving unit performance either operating or engineering manner
v To take lead to put repaired critical equipment or new project into service
Coordination & Communication
v To keep effective daily coordination with unit production team and engineering & maintenance service team to have optimization operation, smooth maintenance and timely product delivery
v Ensure timely material delivery, like water, NG, pX etc
Knowledge Management
v By model the way to prompt learning and sharing culture within Operation
v To ensure technical learning and best practice shared within 4 shifts and implemented in self- shift
v Take lead to coordinate consistent operating practice among 4 shifts
v To lead RCFA and HIPO review in the shift to capture learning

Educational background
v College degree majored in chemical engineering or equivalent discipline
