The Application Manager assumes responsibility of delivering IT services for applications within agreed service levels and ensures appropriate level of capacity to fulfill future needs. The role is responsible for lifecycle management, driving continual improvements, and the management of change of the IT service for applications, ultimately ensuring high customer satisfaction. o Ensures high customer satisfaction o Negotiates SLAs with customers and BIMs, and OLAs with Service Providers of underpining services to make sure the customer needs are met o Approves project handover to operations o Captures Demand effectively from various areas e.g. Business, IGM, Infrastructure o Negotiates priorities and ensures availability of appropriate capacity to deliver o Contributes to and actively participates in continuous improvement / cost reduction programs. Proposes and implements operational improvements, based on a fair technical and good domain understanding, that provide value to IT and/or business o Plan, budget and resource all initiatives requested by the business area for a particular application(s). Progress is tracked, risks and issues are managed and changes to plans are communicated regularly to all stakeholders o Monitors Service Levels, communicates regularly about KPIs to appropriate stakeholders and defines plans for continuous improvements, including Service Providers when appropriate o Manages applications financials and ensures that application related information is up to date in all relevant systems e.g. Clarity, I.*** on a timely basis o Acts as a first point of escalation for operational issues for all stakeholders ? Ensures adherence to quality standards as defined by the IT Organization ? Ensures the applications are audit ready and provide appropriate response to audit / IGM assessment findings and recommendations L2/L3 Support : .Net, C#, SQL Server related, Application Support User account management request, User incidents and queries ? Focuses on proactive maintenance, root cause analysis and permanent fixes to improve application stability ? Operational Changes – Design, Build, testing and implementation of changes due to application defects Preventive Maintenance ? Work on Change Requests initiated by business / IT for any application changes that warrant any functional specification changes ? Conduct problem Investigation and perform fixes ? Resolve tickets in a timely manner and within defined SLAs. ? Work closely with other interface groups and support teams at other support levels to quickly resolve issues. ? Support test, Computer System Validation and roll-out activities within planned application changes and maintain relevant documentation based on the application/business expertise. ? Ensure compliance of a GxP application’s operation and maintenance during its operational lifecycle as per Alcon & Cognizant specifications.
