Senior Quality Manager, Asia
Job Summary:
The Senior Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for driving QA strategy and for ensuring that quality is achieved across all areas of the organization. Plans, coordinates, and directs quality control programs designed to ensure continuous delivery of products and service consistent with established standards: The Senior Quality Assurance Manager develops and analyzes current practices and procedures to determine appropriate standards for Asia. This will involve defining and implementing the QA strategies for the company, promoting continuous quality achievement and improvement of current policies and procedures, monitoring compliance, identifying deficiencies and evaluating and minimizing their potential impact on the company. The Senior Quality Assurance Manager partners with the department managers to develop the quality assurance strategies and define quality standards in the company. Works closely with Supervisors and Managers to ensure quality is implemented as part of their processes and that quality standards are adhered to. Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans, procedures and reviews; preparing and completing action plans and procedures to ensure compliance with product and service quality standards.
Essential Job Functions:
? Design, execute and maintain Quality Assurance Management program across all areas of the whole company including the necessary definition, development and deployment of quality assurance strategies that align with overall Operations KPIs
? Ability to develop, document and implement a Quality Assurance management
strategy in line with the overall product and service requirements
? Strategic influencing skills including the ability to promote continuous improvements
in QA processes at all levels and across all areas of the whole company in Asia
? Strong leadership skills that inspire team confidence and respect while motivating team members in a creative and effective manner
? Diplomacy skills including the ability to withstand pressures and say 'no' to other managers when quality is insufficient or Quality Assurance processes are not being adhered to
? Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to understand and critique requirements
? Well developed project management skills including project planning, estimation and release management
? Excellent communications skills including the ability to prepare and present reports to a range of audiences
? Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to promote cooperation
? Implement ongoing quality improvement processes across all areas
? Develop or specify standards, methods, or procedures to determine effectiveness
? Introduce quality processes for the whole company to ensure a high level of service is delivered
? Identify deviance from standards, and suggest modifications to ensure compliance
? Ensure the viability, functionality and effectiveness of standard operating procedures
? Write technical and management systems standard operating procedures
? Identify relevant quality-related training needs
? Responsible for maintaining quality system and general awareness of ISO, EHS, and various product safety requirements
? Responsible for handling all related job responsibilities in accordance to Environmental & Safety Policy, Standard Operating Procedures, and Emergency Management Plan
? Prepare and/or coordinate with other departments any documentation required in support of the quality reviews, internal audits, independent audits, supplier audits, customer audits, ISO & EHS Program audit, etc.
? Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations. Required Knowledge, Abilities and Skills essential to Job Functions:
Knowledge of principles and techniques of latest quality tools and knowhow; Knowledge of laws and regulations regarding industrial safety; Knowledge of safety systems and procedures; Knowledge of corporate policies, procedures and service area desired;
Ability to design and implement training programs and related lesson plans; Ability to write clear, concise and accurate correspondence and reports containing written and numeric expression; Ability to communicate effectively orally in one-on-one and group
settings; Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks to completion in a timely manner; Ability to work varied hours; Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels within the whole company, customers, and outside agencies; Ability to obtain cooperation in complex organization
Qualifications:
Training and/or Education:
Bachelor degree in Electronics or associated engineering discipline, holding a Masters
degree in Engineering or Business Management is a plus
Required Experience:
Five years experience in a Quality Assurance Management position in a multi-national
electronics manufactory with previous exposure and experiences in different
responsibilities: customer quality assurance, supplier quality, in-process quality, outgoing
quality, quality & reliability laboratory, 6-sigma, and Lean manufacturing.
