BEST Beijing Mechanical Sourcing Engineer plays a significant role in the materials localization, Ensures the localized mechanical materials fully meet quality, cost and lead time demands.

Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:

1. Develop, select, audit and evaluate Metal & Mechanical part suppliers according to company process;
2. Ensure technical engineering and quality requirements are adequately defined, communicated and evaluated with supplier;
3. Make drawings for parts/assemblies and raise ECRs if any drawings/SPECs need be updated;
4. Develop supplier process capability for new components, processes, modules or finished goods;
5. Support SCM to negotiate price, delivery, payment terms with vendor;
6. Lead FA verification;
7. Manage and maintain good supplier relationships to get market / production insight and professional support from supplier;
8. Assist R&D to do technical trouble shooting;
9. Cross-functional communication on quality topics relate to sourcing activity;
10. Other tasks assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Metal & Mechanical or related field;
2. ＞8 years experience for mechanical design or manufacturing, including sheet metal, machining, welding, surface treatment (Clean, powder coating, Al anodizing, electroplating, etc.);
3. Good knowledge on Metal (Al, SST, etc.) Mechanical and Chemical performance;
4. Good experience in CREO or SolidWorks;
5. Good experience in Semi-Conductor equipment is a plus;
6. Fully understand GD&T rules;
7. Sourcing experience is a plus, but not a must;
8. Strong sense of self-motivation and responsibility, a good team player;
9. Project management experience is a plus;
10. Willingness to travel, Up to 50% travel in China is required;
11. Language skills: Read and write clear and logical report in English is a MUST, Fluency in spoken English is a plus;
12. Be familiar with ISO9001 Quality management system, QC tools, lean Six sigma is a plus;

· Successful completion of required Safety training.

· Ensure equipment and machines are maintained in safe operating condition.

· Report to the Safety Officer any unsafe or unhealthy condition which cannot be corrected.

· Follow all safety and health regulations and work practices, including personal protective equipment where applicable.
