Overview of Job Function:

BEST Supplier Quality Engineer plays a significant role in the materials localization and supplier development, ensures the local supplier fulfill BEST supplier requirement, and ensures the localized materials fulfill quality requirement.

Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:

• Audit and evaluate local suppliers according to BEST supplier requirement;
• Lead inspection criteria creation/ clarification;
• Cross-functional communication on supplier management activity;
• Lead FA verification based on the standard and process;
• Manage and maintain good supplier relationships to get market / production insight and professional support from supplier;
• Handle nonconformance material and drive 8D analysis for systematic and batch material quality issue
• Monitor supplier performance and develop supplier in order to improve local supply chain level
• Other tasks assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Metal & Mechanical or related field;
• ＞5 years experience for mechanical design or manufacturing, including sheet metal, machining, welding, surface treatment (Clean, powder coating, Al anodizing, electroplating, etc.);
• ＞2 years experience for supplier quality management;
• Good knowledge on Metal (Al, SST, etc.) Mechanical and Chemical performance;
• Good experience in Semi-Conductor equipment is a plus;
• Fully understand GD&T rules;
• Strong sense of self-motivation and responsibility, a good team player;
• Project management experience is a plus;
• Willingness to travel, up to 50% travel in China is required;
• Language skills: Read and write clear and logical report in English is a MUST, Fluency in spoken English is a plus;
• Be familiar with ISO9001 Quality management system, QC tools, lean Six sigma is a plus;

Environmental, Health & Safety Requirements:

• Successful completion of required Safety training.
• Ensure equipment and machines are maintained in safe operating condition.
• Report to the Safety Officer any unsafe or unhealthy condition which cannot be corrected.
• Follow all safety and health regulations and work practices, including personal protective equipment where applicable.
