职位描述

1 Develop a thorough knowledge of LI markets and business in the zone

  • Manage/ capitalize/ formalize the information through databases, tools, studies (e.g product studies, basins/park studies)... on:

- Industrial Gas Applications

- Key players: monitor the development of the 10-15 largest potential industrial gas users in the chemical/energy/steel industries (domestic or international)

- Key markets

- Regulations (e.g. environmental, restrictions on new investments, tarriffs,...)

  • Maintain and manage the related project portfolio documents in the zone. o Select and manage external consultants and services providing market information.
  • Understands general features and dynamics of the development of the three above markets worldwide

2 Help/Train Business Developers

Act as a resource and answer in a reactive way to questions they may have.

  • Help MD managers updating/presenting existing training modules and develop new ones to follow chnaging markets and internal needs.
  • Help the LI personnel identifying projects likely to materialize and in line with the Group's Strategy.

3 Understand and explain internally, for new projects, the customer plan and its rationale and the IG needs, in order to help AL focus efforts on preparing an appropriate answer.

  • Based on a strong market knowledge, analyze the customers' needs and their competitiveness via direct contact with them. Distinguish as well as possible the "real" needs from the "expressed" ones in order to facilitate the selection of projects and technical solutions.
  • Perform on a case by case basis Site Competitiveness Assessments for projects presented at ZPR (under supervision by MD managers)
  • Support the Marketing director and MD managers to perform any studies as necessary (including but not limited to collect and analyze figures, draft the studies under the supervision by marketing director, as well as communicating internally and externally to approach the tasks).

4. Provide early signals on future developments/risks, thus allowing early moves of Air Liquide.

  • Follow new industrial gas applications / market and technology trends, potential disruptions and forecast/ assess future business opportunities
  • Help Air Liquide in the identification of new prospects
  • Anticipate possible scenarios of rationalization of the industry

5. Develop a solid network among the various players and keep the contacts alive to improve Air Liquide ability to communicate during project development phase.

  • Be involved in the early phase of project life, assess their strategic interest/ attractiveness for the Group & follow it until it enters the commercial negotiation phase (handled by the business developers). Then, support LI Business Developers in the project development process as required (meeting with customers, information for Executive Summaries)

6. Contribute to the Strategic Marketing activities of the LI Markets.

  • Competitive Intelligence (CI): Complement the efforts of existing CI teams for the monitoring and analysis of competitive activity in the LI Markets and for the assessment and updating of market shares and strengths/weaknesses of AL and competitors.

7. External marketing / communication

  • Prepare communication tools (e.g. presentations, brochures…) to support OTF promotion within Metals Market
