Position: MA Accounting & Group Reporting

Location: Beijing

Scope, objective and relevance of position:

This position is responsible for ensuring financial statements of VCIC and Mobility Asia, both individual and consolidated, prepared in accordance with PRC GAAP and Volkswagen Accounting Handbook and ensures the reports are submitted on a timely manner with high quality;

This position is responsible for project management on financial related topics of VCIC and Mobility Asia;

This position is responsible for governing accounting guidelines compliance of PRC GAAP and Volkswagen Accounting Handbook. Keep close contacts with VWAG Group Accounting and Head of Accounting of all VW China entities.

Key Tasks:

Consolidate Financial Statements

• Ensure individual/consolidated financial statements reports prepared in accordance with PRC GAAP and Volkswagen Group Accounting Handbook timely and with high quality;

• Analyze/reconcile account balances;

• Discuss and align accounting treatments with auditors;

• Negotiate audit fees, scope, etc with auditors

Project Management on financial related topics

• Represent VCIC Accounting in setting up shared service center;

• Reorganize accounting process in order to improve efficiency;

• Lead and oversee project progress;

• Steer crossing functions discussion;

• Accelerate project implementation and track result.

Provide Accounting Consultancy

• Participate in new investment project discussions;

• Advise and guide new investment team on accounting related topics;

• Support and guide newly invested branch/location/entity with setting up accounting function;

• Advise to setup new accounting system.

Govern accounting guidelines compliance

• Study both IFRS/CAS accounting standards;

• Compare IFRS/CAS accounting standards difference;

• Develop IFRS/CAS difference adjusting methods;

• Stipulate accounting guidelines;

• Organize regional new guideline training;

• Coordinate and consult VW China entities on guideline application

• Improve IT systems to ensure accounting guidelines followed.

Lead monthly closing activities

• Make sure the accuracy, timeliness and completeness of financial statements;

• Monitor and review team’s closing procedures (revenue, tax and payment, etc)

• Analyze account balances/variances;

• Set monthly/quarterly/yearly closing schedule;

Steer accounting process compliance and risk control, drive process optimization

• Fully understand the whole financial processes and company policies in order to optimize process and minimize risks;

• Identify GRC risks and develop countermeasures;

• Steer system optimization to improve efficiency and reporting quality.

General Ledger accounting and Payable accounting

• Check and approve payment requests;

• Analyze open items

Qualification and skills:

• University graduate;

• 8+ years professional accounting and reporting experiences with MNC finance division;

• Overseas education / work experiences;

• Certified Accountant, CICPA is a plus;

• Good command of English/German;

• Strong communication skills

• Good analytical skills

• Reliable, Good team work spirit

• Sense in keeping confidentiality

• Able to work under pressures

• Quick learner
