POSITION OVERVIEW:

Reporting to Software Manager. The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing software application modules in software and integration projects for metro ISCS and CBTC

  

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Be responsible for completing software tasks, including software development, lifecycle management, cooperation with customers and global team
• Localize and sharpen Alstom software applications and solution demos
• Provide technical support to our customers through projects’ management, on-site installation/upgrades, diagnoses and troubleshooting.
• Build and share expertise in Alstom software systems and solutions, hardware, technologies and processes

• Technical support to the existing and future projects, satisfy our customers.
• Contribution to new project development.
• High self-motivation to learn new technology and build solid domain knowledge.
• Good coordination with client, partners, ALSTOM teams and improving relationship

  

SKILLS & EDUCATION 

• Solid understanding of SCADA system, HMI software platform, familiar with various communication protocols such as Modbus, SNMP
• Good at C++/C# programming skills under Windows or Linux Platform, other languages such as QT/ Python is a plus.
• Familiar with Database and SQL language.
• Experience in diagnostics and problem solving for software, hardware, networking, databases and overall systems
• Advanced expertise in finding hidden bugs and/or troubleshooting software in multi-threaded and multi-processor Windows PC environments

    

ESSENTIAL:

• Fluent in English (French as a plus);
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Rigorous, autonomous, result-oriented
• Able to work under pressure and manage issues with priority
