Overview

Senior Investigators are subject matter experts, providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to

Investigators within PayPal’s Global Financial Crimes and Compliance (GFCC) organization, leveraging

effective coaching practices to ensure successful execution on PayPal obligations.

Senior Investigators are responsible for the quality of their team’s output and ensuring PayPal

implements the appropriate monitoring and controls to align customer activity with obligations to the

appropriate regulatory authorities. This includes accountability for internal program testing exceptions

or audit findings from any below-standard secondary reviews.

Expectations

？ Lead by example within pod to ensure Service Level goals and volume output expectations are

consistently met. Step in to assist with casework when needed or delegate appropriately to

ensure that team goals are met or exceeded.

？ Implement and perform optimal number of enrichment assessments and provide timely,

ongoing feedback to ensure culture of high quality, both directly and through coaching others;

provide situational-based coaching in a one-on-one setting to ensure that the feedback is

received and a plan for action is established with the investigator to ensure future success.

？ Achieve demonstrable and material quality improvement or maintenance of consistent high

quality output

？ Demonstrate mastery of new tools and procedures, and aptitude for learning new workflows

and be accountable for driving opportunities to address individual development needs.

？ Proactively propose realistic enhancement solutions within your department i.e. for SOPS,

training material, calibration sessions, rules and case studies, ensuring a reduced customer

impact

？ Champion and drive enhancement opportunities in quarterly sprints by delivering on committed

dates, UAT testing, SOPs, Training, etc.

Responsibilities

？ Demonstrate appropriate levels of partner engagement to align on priorities and hold those

partners accountable within GFCC, ERCS and Enterprise Services

？ Ensure internal and external escalations are managed to timely and acceptable conclusion

？Encourage engagement in, and oversee feedback sessions and calibration forums

？Seek individual opportunities for addressing development needs

？Demonstrate Best Practice sharing within the Pod structure and wider teams

？Deliver on agreed action items from Calibration and Coaching sessions
