职位描述


Reports to Global Head of Project Management:

The incumbent is accountable for the leadership, planning and governance concerning the successful delivery of a portfolio of assigned SPXFLOW F&B Project Delivery projects in a manner that fulfils contractual and technical requirements, meets or exceeds customer expectations, and adheres to safety and ethical standards, while achieving SPX target margins and promoting SPX’s reputation in the market place. Secondary the role is about the coaching and development of assigned project staff and the on-going reinforcement of the SPX Project Delivery execution culture and approach.

The role is expected to provide strong leadership in a matrix environment while promoting best practices in managing interrelated projects to ensure successful delivery. The role will also ensure the project resources have the correct tools and processes in place and that all relevant staff are trained and equipped to deliver project success. Strong project management and organizational skills are fundamental, as is the ability to liaise with people across various levels and locations within the organization.


PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



· Ensures alignment with the defined Integrated Definition (IDEF) processes for Flow F&B Project Delivery eXcellence (CPX and PDX) across the assigned portfolio. This includes but is not limited to leadership in QIAs, TCRs, LEAFs, LOAFs, Project Reviews, Stage Gate Reviews and Cold Eye Reviews.

· Travel to customer or internal meetings (offices, job sites, workshops)

· Identify, support and/or lead continuous Operational Excellence (OpEx) improvement and/or A3 initiatives

· Initiate and drive a successful 5 x whys root cause analysis lessons learned process to inform other projects and/or proposal managers so negative EACs are not repeated and positive EACs are repeated

· Ensures the assigned PM / execution team are providing daily program management throughout the project life cycle;

o Project plan / governance

o Project team is monitoring and updating the schedule throughout the program lifecycle

o Project budget is managed to a successful outcome

o Project team is managing risks and issues and taking corrective measurements

o Active coordination and utilization of resources across projects

o Active participation in stakeholders’ communication

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES


· Project Scope & Change Management: Defining and validating the project deliverables and work to produce them. Managing and responding to requests for changes to project in a structured and controlled manner.

· Planning & Scheduling: Using information about activities and deliverables to determine the overall project duration, and when activities and events are scheduled to occur.

· Project Resource Management: Identifying, securing and assigning resources to activities so that the project is delivered within scope, cost and timescales.

· Budget and Cost Management: Ensuring budgets are estimated, agreed, tracked and managed properly throughout the lifecycle of the project

· Project Risk and Issue Management: Anticipating, identifying, assessing and addressing potential or actual events and items that may impact positively or negatively on project delivery or benefits realization.

· Project Quality Management: Project quality management is the discipline that is applied to ensure that both the project outputs, and the processes by which the outputs are delivered meet the required stakeholder needs.

· Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Reviewing and reporting on all aspects of project progress through the timely and accurate collection, maintenance and dissemination of project information to stakeholders.

· Project Review and Evaluation: Conducting regular reviews to check project progress, evaluate achievement of project benefits and capture and disseminate lessons learned.

· Project Closure: Finalizing all project matters, including obtaining agreement to completion from the customer, handing back or redeploying project resources, archiving all project information, conducting final project reviews and sharing learning for future use.

· Program Management: Managing multiple projects concurrently, taking into account resource constraints, in order to achieve a common business goal.

· Project Health, Safety and Environmental Focus: Determining and applying SPX and statutory standards and methods to minimize the likelihood of accidents, injuries and environment impact, both during the project and during the operation of its deliverables.

· Contract Management: Managing the execution of contractual agreements with customers and suppliers to ensure we are compliant with the stated terms and conditions throughout the duration of the project.

· Expert knowledge and handling of project and program management methodology and techniques;

· Expert understanding of the wider objectives of the program;

· Ability to work positively with the wide range of individuals involved in program management;

· Strong leadership and management skills;

· Expert knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures;

· The ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required Education / Experience

  • in Business, Engineering, IT or related field; or
  • Extensive and proven project and/or implementation management experience of large, complex projects across Engineering, Procurement and Construction / Commissioning.
  • Experience leading direct reports of 5 to 10 people
  • Experience managing extended project teams of 50 to 100 people
  • Proven experience of using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP/SAP) and project management tools (e.g. Microsoft Project)


Preferred Education / Experience

  • Experience working with remote/dispersed teams is highly desirable
  • Experience working on international projects is desirable
  • Total Work Systems (TQM, Six Sigma, Lean, ISO)
  • MS Project - Expert preferred, proficient required
  • Engineering experience is an advantage
  • Experience of the food processing, chemical or pharmaceutical industry is desirable but not essential
  • Proficient in MS SharePoint
