Market Analyst/市场分析

  

The Market Analyst in Hydro Aluminium Beijing provides market analysis and business supports.

 The Market Analyst is responsible for keeping overall policy and market developments up to date. In addition, the Market Analyst is responsible for supporting strategy processes in Bauxite & Alumina Commercial.

The Market Analyst will provide business support including the planning of business visits, logistics/administration handling etc, so business travel is expected.

  Areas of responsibility

• Government/industry policy follow up and timely report on changes/developments

• Market intelligence and industry analysis mainly for bauxite, alumina and primary aluminium

• Update and present local/regional supply/demand balance

• Timely present relevant market information

• Update database mainly for refineries and smelters related to production forecast, capacity development and cost development

• In close corporation with Market Analysis of Bauxite & Alumina Commercial

• Perform CSR screening reports/updates for Chinese customers, suppliers, and third-party corporation partners.

• Participate and support in qualification process for suppliers, customers, and third-party corporation partners.

• Take the task of contract controller for contract administration/work-flow

• Business support related activities

• Perform other required duties

   

  Qualifications

• University degree in business, market, economy

• Knowledge in aluminium industry and market is a plus

• Strong analytical capabilities, experience from analysis of aluminium industry or other commodities is preferred

• Minimum 3 years working experience in market analysis

• Fluent in English (listening, speaking, reading and writing) is a must

• Good computer skills and experienced in use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

• Strong interest in commercial operations

• Good coordination skills and able to work efficiently among different Business Units internally.

• Good communicator

• Self-starter, happy to work independently but also able to work in teams as required

• Ability to maintain and develop good relations both internally and with external clients

• High ethical standards
