Project (30%)/Category (70%) buyer

Area of Responsibility

1. Primary Purchasing team member for KBD-NPI Projects
2. Primary Purchasing team member inCategory purchasing team to secure the saving, project timing & budget.
3. Manage supplier strategy for Lonestar and align with CFT.
4. Coordinate with CFT such as Quality, R&D, PM, and Sales.
5. Implement ECN process, including RFQ, Negotiation, and Making decision before SOP.

1. Main purchasing representative in KBD-NPI/PIP projectswith responsibility to perform the purchasing activities in the KBD-NPI/PIP process
2. RFI/RFQ, Benchmark, Negotiation and select best supplier from cost, quality, and logistics.
3. Follow project plan to secure supplier nomination.
4. Follow project plan to support PPAP and SOP timings set by project
5. Secure capacity, pricing and leverage additional volumes, for existing parts
6. Assure supplier feasibility is collected for all parts where applicable
7. Handle delivery disruption in Projects escalated from Transactional  - in accordance with escalations procedure
8. Assure supplier selections are made on time in accordance with project time lines and that recommendations are in line with project budget.
9. Direct performance follow-up during the project phase. Manage suppliers, compare costs with objectives, ensure quality during the project phase, respect delivery deadlines and in particular ensure that the project phase reviews are supported within the framework of the KBD-NPI process
10. Propose re-sourcing for components used cross-projects to Category/Product teams
11. Provide project with info on prototype timing and prices and place orders for those based on project requisitions
12. Co-operate with and hand over to Product buyers when project is closed or all purchasing activities has been finalized
