With the expansion of our rail business in China an opportunity exists for an experienced Installation Team Leader to support our delivery of the Changsha Metro Line 2 Project. This project is an underground line of 21.9km, comprising 19 stations, a control centre, a depot and a maintenance centre. The project is scheduled for completion by September 2013, with subsequent projects to follow. The engineering for the project is being managed by our office in Spain and construction through the Beijing office.



The Position:

As the Installation Team Co-Ordinator based in Changsha, you will support the Project Manager during the project execution with design, installation, testing, commissioning and certification activities. This is an important team position that is focused on overseeing the activities of the signalling installers, adapting designs to site conditions, managing line/track possessions and train access to facilitate works, ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with quality, health and safety standards, developing all functional tests for installed equipment, maintaining the "As -Built" drawings and corrective maintenance. We are looking to have the successful candidate start in April 2012, and to be able to travel to Spain for a 6 week period for induction and product training.

Position Requirements:

Fluent in Mandarin and English Languages - this is mandatory.
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics or Telecommunications Engineering.
Railway signalling experience is essential - minimum of 4 years. This experience may have been gained from working in design, manufacturing, engineering or site construction activities within the rail industry.
Demonstrated success in co-ordinating teams of Signalling Installers.
Management of company compliance with local Health and Safety statutory obligations.
Ability it anticipate problems and to take mitigating actions in advance of the problem being realized.
Availability to travel locally and overseas.
