Role – Technical Analyst

Role / Requirement

Need is for a Technical Analyst to be assigned to the Businesses adopting the GDP who will be responsible for the technical capability of the GDP solution and the operability of the GDP solution for the business. The Analyst will understand the breadth and depth of the GDP capability and will then analyse the technical requirements of the Business in question. This will involve determining the optimal way of applying the GDP solution from a technical perspective and providing a technical framework specifically for the adopter business, but which does not compromise the overall GDP solution.

This technical representation will cover all aspects of the technical solution and will ensure there is a viable technical solution for the business business operability from processes, deliverables and control points though the technical operability of reports, extracts and the technical components of the delivery.

The analyst also needs to consider the other implementations also underway as there may be dependencies or co-ordination required, so will need to be an integral part of the wider project team.

The Technical Analyst are expected to perform 3 tasks…

1. GDP solution representation

Working with the core GDP team to understand the technical and functional aspects of the GDP solution and the core behaviours provided. Also understanding the project delivery process and the business / technical tasks required at the various stages of the implementation.

This should encompass the business but not directly system related tasks also, such as process modelling, BCP, TGRC, etc.

1. Adopter Business representation

Working with the adopter business team to understand their technical solution model, inc data models, data delivery requirements,  connectivity points, interface frameworks, etc.

1. Business / technical solution delivery

Building on points 1 and 2 above, bring both parts together to form and provide an acceptable technical solution delivery for the adopter business in question. As mentioned above, this will mean following the defined project delivery lifecycle and managing and owning the technical tasks and deliverables production. This will also include liaison with the Project Manager and the Functional and Technical Leads.

Typical Skills / Abilities

• Understanding of Cleared Derivative financial instruments at the market / industry level
• Understanding of Cleared Derivative business processes, trading lifecycle at the market / industry level
• Understanding of Cargill’s derivatives IT / systems landscape and tooling
• Understanding of Cargill’s derivatives business processes and operations

• Experienced in concepts  and theory of Technical Analysis and solution design, inc compliance to over-arching architectures and technology frameworks
• Experienced in conducing analysis tasks and engaging business and IT representatives
• Experienced in technical analysis activities throughout the typical project lifecycle = Initiate – Reqs – Design – Build – Test / Accept - Deploy - Support

• Experienced in HP ALM
• Experienced in GMI, Clearvision, UBIX, Frontarena or any other cleared / OTC derivative solutions
• Experienced in TIBCO, FIX, MFT, Boomi
