Responsibilities and Duties 

1. Supports to develop and align the licensing product strategy – and once made, ensures regular review and update by integrating latest development from all key aspects: licensing partner (s), competitors and other value chain players 

2. Watches for signs which could potentially harm the licensing business as well as for opportunities which could enhance it 

3. Constantly observes the industry value chain (e.g. foundations, vessels) and competitors to collect valid input for updating the business case 

4. Consolidates information from all sources to maintain a locally adapted project business case database 

5. Creates analyses and decision proposals based on the business case tool to clearly outline the business sense of project development at certain locations with preset/assumed project conditions, and to compare product competitiveness with a sensitivity analysis 

6. Aligns the results with internal stakeholders/experts to build a common understanding on the advised cases 

7. Key contacts: 

 a. Internal: PPM / LOC team in Hamburg (in particular, OF PPM PTFM), OF CN team in Shanghai, etc. 

 b. External: SEWPG sales, TPM, project and finance; industry players and media; wind farm developers

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree or higher
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in wind industry, preferably worked in functions like strategy, siting or have handled topics related to the wind farm business case calculation
• Solid basic knowledge of mathematics and wind turbine technologies, including turbine technical parameters, e.g. power curve, AEP, etc.   
• Proven track record as self-motivated and independent worker to be able to produce high quality works and draw own conclusions with convincing rationale
• Demonstrated capability to multi-task without sacrificing the quality of work
• Demonstrated capability to handle stress positively
• Good communication skills
• A team player and proactive knowledge-sharing
• Good command of Microsoft Office software, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Good command of English and Chinese mandarin, both orally and in written
