Position Summary: 职位概述:
The principal engineer shall be expert of firmware platform architectural design and developments. This high-ranked role will have a strong emphasis on designing modular firmware and terminal system products for smart electricity metering solution and adjacent applications with a future-focused mindset.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to play a global lead role in a very dynamic, fast pace and expanding firmware design team. The position is ideally suited for a motivated individual who is energetic, takes initiative and has a deep understanding of product development and agile system engineering for high reliability industrial electronics. You will need to work independently with minimum supervision, as well as being able to support build a high-performance and global team in Eastern Europe & China.

Major Responsibilities: 主要职责:
1. Delivers AMI communication modules and terminal system products meet Smart Electricity Metering market needs, applicable regulatory and industry standards
2. Drives unified firmware architecture design of entire company portfolio achieving highest and consistent quality combinations of interoperability, modifiability and testability
3. Provides technical leadership in product detail design, design review and customer supports during new product developing, continue engineering and value engineering
4. Reports pertinent information regularly on platform or project status through clear spoken and written communications
5. Supports to build up core competencies of firmware design team aligning with business needs, manages and coaches intermediate engineers

Key Accountabilities: 关键岗位职责:
1. Conducts detail architectural design of firmware platforms based on solid understandings of AMI system needs
2. Hands-on develops first firmware per defined requirements by system architect and customers
3. Builds unified firmware platform and establishes sustaining mechanism for future maintenance applying modern firmware design methodologies
4. Leads or coordinates design reviews, identifies and analyzes firmware or product design problems over full lifecycle of portfolio
5. Assists with product system architecture, high-level hardware design, or specific hardware bring-up as needed
6. Assists with testing team to develop and implement appropriate test processes, tools, procedures and especially creation of automated testing system
7. Drives agile software development processes e.g. SCRUM / Kanban
8. Ensure all technical deliverables well documented and managed
l 在充分理解AMI系统需求的基础上进行固件平台的详细架构设计;
l 根据系统架构师和客户定义的需求开发初始固件;
l 应用现代固件设计方法,构建统一的固件平台,建立后续维护的维护机制;
l 领导或协调设计评审,在产品组合的整个生命周期内识别和分析固件或产品设计问题;
l 协助产品系统架构,高级硬件设计,或需要的特定硬件升级;
l 协助测试团队开发和实施适当的测试流程,工具,过程,特别是自动化测试系统的创建;
l 推动敏捷软件开发流程,例如SCRUM / Kanban;
l 确保所有技术成果的文件化和管理;
Specific Skills / Background Required: 具体技能 / 背景要求:
1. Master or Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or related;
2. 5+ years full lifecycle experience of electronic product firmware development with layered modular design
3. Solid knowledge of Microcontrollers & Processors (8/16/32-bit inc ARM & DSPs) and their software architectures
4. Proficient in firmware architectural design, coding & debug, expert with design tools e.g. UML/IAR, programming languages C/C++/ASM, and source control tool Git /SVN
5. In-depth understanding of FreeRTOS / uCOS / uCLinux / Android operating systems and respective developments of drivers and applications
6. Experienced in protocol implementations of mainstream metering communication technologies like Prime PLC, G3PLC, Wi-Sun, LoRaWAN, NB-IOT, M-bus, GPRS/2G/3G/LTE, RF Mesh / BLE / Zigbee, WiFi, Serial communications
7. Knowledge of smart electricity meter related IEC standards, regulations or certifications is a big plus
8. Excellent analytical and diagnosis skills with a common sense approach to problem solving
9. Good command of spoken and written English
10. Team player with demonstrated commitment to growth and continuous improvement. Willingness to change and Can-Do attitude
l 计算机科学、电子工程或相关专业硕士或学士学位;
l 5年以上电子产品固件开发经验,具有分层模块化设计经验;
l 扎实的微控制器和处理器(8/16/32位inc ARM和DSPs)及其软件架构知识;
l 精通固件架构设计、编程和调试,精通设计工具如UML/IAR,编程语言C/ c++ /ASM,源码控制工具Git /SVN;
l 深入了解FreeRTOS / uCOS / uCLinux / Android操作系统及其各自驱动程序和应用程序的开发;
l 具备Prime PLC、G3PLC、Wi-Sun、LoRaWAN、NB-IOT、M-bus、GPRS/2G/3G/LTE、RF Mesh / BLE / Zigbee、WiFi、串口通信等主流计量通信技术的协议实现经验;
l 了解智能电表相关IEC标准、法规或认证者优先;
l 优秀的分析和诊断技能,具有解决问题的能力;
l 优秀的英语听说读写能力;
