Business Development Manager, China

Package: Competitive monthly Gross salary range between RMB 21,000 - RMB 25,000, based on matched qualification and experiences

Location: Shanghai (open to applications from Nanjing and Hangzhou areas)

We are now looking to recruit an experienced and proven Business Development Manager for China to join us on our terrific journey, and help build on our success. Reporting to the Head of Global Business Development, the role will involve leading and developing our Chinese presence and market share.

The role will be based in country (China) and cover the whole country, but will require some travel to the Global Headquarters in the UK.

The Gtechniq brand aims to produce the most innovative surface care products in the world following the discovery that other so called ‘long-life’ aftermarket coatings simply did not come anywhere close to their marketing claims.

Duties will include:

• Lead, develop and execute the Gtechniq Chinese operational plan

• Identify initiatives that promote long-term growth

• Build the Gtechniq brand in China and ensure it has the correct market positioning

• Plan and execute sales and business development initiatives to maximise revenue, margin and inventory

• Devise and support marketing and promotional plans

• Deliver technical training, presentations and demonstrations of Gtechniq products

• Manage and develop the Chinese network of Gtechniq Accredited detailers

• Support key accounts and develop long-term, positive partner relations

• Provide market, product information, and competitor feedback

• Represent the company at conferences and events, as required

• Produce progress reports and present back to the management team at HQ

Ideal candidates would possess:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role

• Have experience within the automotive industry or have a strong passion for cars

• Strong history of business development and sales on a National scale

• A strong understanding of the detailing industry, car dealership environment and wholesale management

• Be a great self starter, be proactive and handle uncertainty

• Great communication and interpersonal skills

• Flexibility to adapt to new challenges

• A good degree of IT literacy

• Fluent in Chinese and English

The job holder will report administratively to CBBC's office Shanghai, and functionally will report to and be supported by Gtechniq (UK).

Benefits and conditions of employment

CBBC offer competitive packages which include basic gross salary, social insurance (CBBC cover both employee and company contributions), medical insurance, and generous leave entitlement.

The gross annual package for this position is approximately RMB 273K – 325K with annual pro rata leave entitlement of 22-days for Chinese nationals.
