The Cyber Security Manager role reports to the Sr. Manager, Security Operations and Threat Intelligence, and is responsible for security event monitoring across network and endpoint security solutions in support of Global Information Security functions. The Specialist is also responsible for leading network security projects and proactively protecting information assets from unauthorized or inappropriate access, use or disclosure as well as business disruptions through proper identification and escalation of incidents. In addition to working closely with IT and the Business, regular interaction with internal and external auditors, Legal, Privacy and Ethics is also required of the position.

  

Responsibilities:

  

·         Develop an understanding of Newell Brands current and forward-looking threat profile

·         Monitor and report on the technology threat landscape

·         Identify intrusion activity by leveraging alert data from multiple sensors and systems and determine priority for response

·         Actively lead network security improvement projects

·         Document and escalate incidents that may cause ongoing and immediate impact to the environment

·         Analyze identified malicious activity to determine weaknesses exploited, exploitation methods, effects on system and information

·         Notify designated managers, incident responders, and security service provider team members of suspected incidents and articulate the event's history, status, and potential impact for further action

·         Collaborate with other information security and IT team members to develop governance and implement strategies for monitoring and preventing attacks

·         Provide evidence for compliance activities; such as SOX, PCI, Data Privac

·         Participate in after-hours on-call incident management

 

  

Qualifications:

  

·         Proficiency in English required

·         5 years in an Information Security role

·         Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Management Systems, or related field required, CISSP certificate preferred

·         Working knowledge of Windows and Linux servers, IDS/IPS, A/V, SIEMs, DLP, and Firewalls

·         Ability to communicate technical information in understandable business terms
