The Role Responsibilities

Operations Delivery:

• Primary point of contact for professional advice, enquiries, complaints, resolving of discrepancies and transactional errors

• Responsible for client satisfaction with service arrangements and delivery

• Manage the resources within team to meet and exceed service standards

• Work with internal stakeholders for service requirements, enquiries, and instructions

• Continuously review/monitor workflow and strive for efficiencies in time, costs and service levels

Risk and Control

• Ensures adherence to country and global operating policies in area of responsibility, maintaining conformance and consistency of provision

• Operate within the risk and control framework, i.e. take lead to minimize operational loss and manage regulatory breach, ensure no high-risk testing issue and/or material audit finding

• Analyze risks data and risks reports. Where necessary, mitigate and/or escalate to appropriate parties

• Comply with applicable Money Laundering Prevention Procedures and, in particular, report any suspicious activity to the Unit Money Laundering Prevention Officer and Line Manager

• Be an expert on China regulatory/business environment and able to provide swift assessment on how and to what extent China can fit into global/regional operations strategy

Coach and Engagement

• Lead and coach employees through effective communication/coaching to deliver business goal

• Manage a team of individuals effectively to keep them motivated for achieving individual inspiration and potential

• Motivate the team to ensure a high morale and positive attitude in the organization

• Lead annual planning and action plan completion, and review it on the regular basis

• Make a team as a great place to work

People Development

• Ensure the continuous development of operations professionals and generate talents

• Formulate training plans for employees of in the organization to equip them with appropriate skills and knowledge

• Ensure all staff to have agreed development plan in place and review progress timely;

• Implement new training

Capacity and Capability

• Ensure proper duty segregation and task assignment in the team, including backup plans for all roles

• Plan, manage and build the resources within the organization to meet and exceed service standards

• Aware of resources across the organization and attract the best to work in the team

• Steer career development plan and manage succession planning for the sustainable growth of the organization

Our Ideal Candidate

• Graduates/Post Graduates

• 10+ years experience in Financial Market Operations roles in China, with 4+ years experience in management level

• Experience with International Financial Companies is preferred

• Strong analytical skills and project management skills

• Extensive knowledge of Financial Market Operations delivery strategy and objectives, with its related support operations

• Strong Leadership quality to manage and lead the team.

• Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English and Chinese

• Excellent managerial capabilities and people management skills

• Good time-management skill

• Able to motive, develop and coach the team members to enhance their overall ability in both hard and soft skill

• Strong problem solving skills

• Energetic and able to withstand heavy workload

• Independent and self-motivated

• Candidate with less experience would be considered as junior position

GBS China's financial services outsourcing business include Wholesale Banking and Consumer Banking Account Services, Cash Management Services, Credit Initiation, Financial Markets System Developments, Financial Shared Service Centre, etc. In the future 3-5 years, the company aims to continuously develop it business of Financial Service Outsourcing, Information Technology Outsourcing, Software and System Development and Shared Service Centre.

Financial Markets Solutions Delivery (FMSD) is a global unit that builds, implements and supports IT solutions to enable the Financial Markets business of Standard Chartered Bank. The Financial Markets business, part of the Wholesale Bank, delivers a broad range of high-value-added financial market products to corporate, institutional and investor clients around the world, with a particular emphasis on our key footprint across Asia, Africa and the Middle East, supported by trading rooms in the world's financial centres.

The FMSD team of over 600 people is based across Singapore, London, Chennai, Dubai, New York and Hong Kong. From 2010, we are developing an FMSD team in Tianjin, China. It is a strategic move to build FMSD capability in Tianjin within next 5 years with below vision:

渣打环球商业服务有限公司的金融服务外包业务范围包括个人及企业的账户管理、贷款审核发放、现金管理、外币兑付、贸易信用证审核等各种对公、对私后台操作业务，金融市场系统软件开发，集团共享财务中心业务等。公司计划在未来3-5年内建成为一个包括金融服务外包业务，信息技术外包业务，软件与系统开发业务，共享服务中心业务在内的职能全面的营运中心。
