1. To ensure legal and regulatory compliance in China and full compliance with regional and group

2. To ensure full compliance of company’s legal policies

3. To conduct legal documentation generation and review, handling of claims and disputes, providing legal and compliance trainings, negotiations with external parties

4. Being part of the China management team.

5. Provide sound legal advice to the management, the board of directors and the Group relating to issues in China

6. Liaise with Regional Legal and Compliance team and approved local law firms in handling legal matters and gathering related information

7. Understand the Strategy Plan for China and manage China’s legal affairs in a manner consistent with those objectives

8. Prepare, draft, and review all types of legal documents including but not limited to Local Service Agreements, HR matters, general legal matters, etc. and coordinate legal review by Regional Legal and Compliance team and approved local law firms in a timely manner

9. Conduct feasibility study of setting up new legal entity in China according to the Strategy Plan

10. Manage all legal entities’ various registration annual inspection, renewal, de-registration, expansion of business scope and change of registered capital and ensure they are completed in a timely manner

11. Support Group Compliance with Anti- Bribery Policy, KYC requirements and Anti-Money Laundering Policy, FATCA project if needed

Key Requirements:

1. A Bachelor’s degree of law from a Law School of a famous university or from a famous law university is required.

2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in legal practice. Litigation experience is a plus.

3. Experience in in-house legal function of the head office of a famous large group, or experience in reputable law firm(s) is preferred.

4. Good knowledge of PRC Contract Law, Company Law and Securities Law
The one who has experience with the KYC and FATCA is an advantage, but not a must.

5. Demonstrate ability to interact with all levels of a fascinating and highly complex business and understand its fundamental drivers, including different types of risks the business may face particularly in conflict zones.

6. Excellent drafting skills, including an ability to explain legal concepts in plain Chinese/English.

7. Bilingual in Chinese and English (reading, writing and speaking) – essential.

8. Quick starter, spirit of team work, ability to adapt, dedicated.

9. Self-motivated and able to work independently and under pressure.
